@cmoneysan So it's not super convenient for regular people to decentralize their homes with solar rn. But a ton of corporations are doing it with microgrids. Like amazon, walmart, or facebook

@cmoneysan But commercial PV panels are only 20% efficient at converting photons to electricity, and the most efficient MIT PV panel is like 44%. Since the efficiency is so poor, people have to cover a larger surface area with PV panels, which drives up the initial cost of the PV system.
