@Martyupnorth @cd_lmh as a kid for family vacation, we drove ft smith to edmonton, then travel by train to montreal, visit family, then by train to New York, again to visit family. I remember being amazed at the sheer size of New York and seeing the various 'hoods on approach to grand central station!

Imagine trying to convince the world that the darkest moment in Canadian History was having your account frozen? Additionally, nobody had their account frozen "just for donating." The accounts that were frozen were people directly involved in activity and were targeted directly due to said activities. In other words, when they wouldn't leave their occupation... If you doubt this, you can simply show the moms that had their accounts frozen for simply donating $20 and weren't directly involved.

@anonfmresident @tammyandjp You are partially correct. Equalization payments are based off fiscal capacity of the province. They receive payments if they fall below the national avg. The only real outlier is Quebec, due to their hydro power.

Ditchbilly lie: Alberta Pays billions in equalization to other provinces. Realty: People pay taxes, these taxes are used to pay for various services/Benefits. In people are net contributors while working and net receivers if retired unemployed. Averaged per person by province
