@kemo_bojang This is more than a constitutional coup it amount to betrayal to all Senegalese. It is also an indictment on @ecowas_cedeao. The time have come for ecowas to prove that all countries in the region are equal. 🇸🇳 should be suspended immediately.

The impact of leaving ECOWAS has great socioeconomic implications. Trade relations, regional stability, and collaborative trans-border development will become very difficult. I hope these states have carefully considered both short-term disruptions and long-term consequences.

@kemo_bojang @JemiamaTDassen I totally agree bro. But I also think this is not a bad news to The Gambia. All the three countries are landlocked and they will need a partner at the coast. Looking at the location of the country this will be an economic opportunity. All what we need is to act immediately.

@JemiamaTDassen I think we are being emotional here, the impact of leaving a block in governance is beyond theory, it poses real challenges in economic and social bearings. You should speak to Malians and Guineas on how the earlier sanctions affected them. It is still affecting their trade.

The unnecessary bureaucratic procedures in endorsing the medical report resulted to the continuous detention of our client who was mentally unstable at the time of the offence.

Following a medical examination as per the requirement of the law, it was recommended that our client was stable and should be discharged to join the family in 2022. Unfortunately, due to bureaucratic procedures it took the relevant authority 5 months to endorse the report.

Having spent 6 years in prison on a charge of murder, NALA is pleased to secure the release of a woman (our client) in her late 40s from Mile II Central Prison. This came due to a judgment delivered sometime in 2022 wherein a judge gave a special verdict (guilty but insane).

As we strive to achieve the best legal outcomes for our clients, we wish to state that a High Court Judge delivered a judgment on the 14th March, 2023, wherein one of our clients was acquitted and discharged of murder. The Judge held that our client acted in self-defence.

Take up that brief for the unpopular client. That is how most distinguished lawyers made their bones. In the meantime, be slow to belittle those doing it. Everyone is entitled to legal representation, Lucifer included. This legal sermon is limited to lawyers and law students.
