@JeffBezos after spending 6 hours talking to your company, I know where you have the potential to lose $110.449 billion a year and can fix that. Customer service still can’t explain the problem and I will probably be dealing with them for another 6 hours. Sigh

This kid is a LEGEND… CNN: "Why do you want to be here?... Why do you love being a part of history? Kid: "We're going back to the f*cking moon, that's why!" 🤣

These chibi Elon figures are dangerously cute 😭💙 Big sparkling eyes, fluffy hair, tiny blue jacket, mic in hand, and that American flag backdrop… I’m melting. Make Life Multiplanetary just became 1000× more adorable 🚀🇺🇸🥹

Look at one of my playground projects!!! This young man is in 5th grade! I am so incredibly proud of him! Don’t tell me OnShape is too hard for middle school. Kids rise to expectations every single time until you tell them they can’t. #PLTWProud #STEMeducation

@GregAbbott_TX Again, you need to fire your social media staff - you are putting out straight up lies. I have been teaching 29 years and haven’t met a public administrator or teacher in support of vouchers. Especially when you can’t answer our questions

Many public school educators change their minds on Texas' universal school choice program once they understand what it actually provides. Public school teachers and administrators see through the Democrats' lies. When they see how it really works, they support school choice.

THIS! I am now at a phone free school and it is INCREDIBLE. Kids can pay attention, they are engaged, they socialize with each other. I never thought it would be such a huge difference but it is!
Jonathan Haidt@JonHaidt

Major new survey from National Education Association gives very strong support for phone-free schools. Any policy that lets kids have phones BETWEEN classes disrupts what happens IN class. Give teachers a chance. Go phone-free. nea.org/resource-libra…

It’s time to fix education - I left public education and it is the best decision I made for ME. Please support real fixes and not just bandaids. There is so much good in public school but we have to figure out how to improve it.

2018…More teachers resigned than any other year prior 2019…A new record # of resignations 2020…That # SURPASSED. 2021…AGAIN 2022…AGAIN 2023…Broke ALL previous records Questions: What was learned? Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The career is simply no longer sustainable

@GregAbbott_TX Teachers are fleeing and there is no funding. Please remember we need to educate ALL of our kids. Sped, low socioeconomic, the abused, ALL.

2025 will be the year that Texas PASSES school choice! I will work closely with the Texas Legislature to make it happen. A brighter future for Texas families is right around the corner.

@GregAbbott_TX Again I ask - what happens to the kids that need help the most? That don’t have any support at home (there are more than you can imagine). They can’t GET to a private school with no bus - so they are left with whatever is left.

@adamboxer1 Presenting another POV:I was at a HS school that was almost entirely PBL.Our math dept still did some direct instruction. We were a STEM/ECHS model and we were ranked nationally according to test results. I’m not there anymore so don’t know if it continues but I did see it work.

I've said it before but personally I don't feel the need to read any more papers about discovery or inquiry based learning. I've seen it used in hundreds of lessons, and in every single one without fail I have asked students extremely basic questions about things they have just written down or read or put on a poster or in a slide deck or whatever and without fail they have no understanding of the content. Sure, this happens with explicit instruction too. But there are LOADS of cases where it doesn't. To repeat, I have never ever seen it work when the teacher has done anything other than fully guided instruction 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
