@GodElectric @truthstreamnews *Money worshippers and animal traffickers.
English

@truthstreamnews Jesus never harmed human flesh as a man on the earth. He only ever healed.
The nearest he came was picking up a whip when the money worshippers were in the temple, but the bible never says he struck human flesh with it.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @grok As I said on the show, it sounds like Epstein attempted to gain influence over some of Bitcoin development. But the plot fell through. Another week, another attempt.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @grok But he doesn't see or understand the technical arguments, just as Roger didn't (at the time).
Roger betrayed the entire Bitcoin community over a technical misunderstanding. Because of ego he didn't back down or apologize.
English

@cialoneCodes @FreeTalkLive @rogerkver @AaronRDay @grok They didn't work for him. They (probably) didn't know who he was. And they didn't sabotage Bitcoin.
Perhaps you felt they sabotaged it. We can agree to disagree. But don't mix fantasy and opinion and present it as fact.
English

@cialoneCodes @FreeTalkLive @rogerkver @AaronRDay @grok It is not my intent to slander anyone but to point out lies.
Saying Bitcoin developers worked for Epstein in order to sabotage Bitcoin is untrue. It distorts the truth to the point of being a lie.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project @PhoenixWallet ZK state proofs might be able to improve the situation somewhat, with their own tradeoffs, warnings, and limitations.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project @PhoenixWallet If Zano, or Zcash, or any of these other chains had the same txn volume of Bitcoin they would run into the same scaling problems that Bitcoin ran into. This is a fundamental limitation of the design.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project @PhoenixWallet No. They predicted nothing. They pointed out known tradeoffs and then proceeded to deceive the non-technical into thinking that the developers were sleeping on the job or worse. They simply lied to promote their selfish ends. There is no appeasement with such people.
English

OK, the fact that I can spin up my own Lightning node is really a crappy solution to the permissionless argument. And the "You can just find the right wallet among thousands" is equally unsatisfying.
Can't you just say that more steps should have been taken to appease the Big blockers in 2016 and 2017, and that they seem to have predicted some of the difficulties that BTC now faces? It is this kind of blind loyalty that turns me off. BTC has become a religion.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project @PhoenixWallet I'm glad you've found something that works for you. There is no reason for people to spread lies about Bitcoin in order to enjoy and promote other projects though.
English

I am glad that that is so. I have heard that over time Lightning has gotten better. I totally believe it too. However, that doesn't address the central issue that the Big blockers had that slow development times (10 years now) would put BTC behind other coins that would be better at the job.
I don't need Lightning transact privately with @zano_project or others and I don't need the time, expertise and expense of spinning up my own node.
BTC is now behind in the race, just as we said it would be. I hope it can catch up, but I am more of a referee than a fan these days and I am not sure whether market share, resilience and decentralization are going to be enough. I must say, I hope so, but that is self interest talking.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project You don't need to ask anyone for permission to run a lightning node yourself.
And there are self-custodial Lightning wallets like @PhoenixWallet that you can use right now without any KYC or permission.
English

@taoeffect @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project Don't call it a lie. Prove that it isn't. My claim would be that I must ask permission from a Lightning node holder to use their node, add to that that most lightning wallets are custodial and you basically have the banking system.
English

@taoeffect @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project He doesn't, to my knowledge, likely because it destroys the permissionlessness of crypto.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project And to be clear, I'm not against people attacking Bitcoin if what they're sharing has merit to it. But if they're spreading lies about Bitcoin, you've got to ask yourself who's side are they on.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay @monero @Zcash @zano_project The lighting network is also a privacy token. Does Aaron promote it? I bet you he doesn't. Attacking Bitcoin, while promoting other currencies, is the same thing as attacking all of cryptocurrency.
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver @AaronRDay If you think CBDCs are bad, but think that cryptocurrencies are also bad, well, that's a perfectly A-OK narrative to the pro-CBDC folks.
"Everything is bad so might as well use CBDCs."
English

@FreeTalkLive @cialoneCodes @rogerkver Here's my conspiracy theory about people like @AaronRDay: they are controlled by pro-CBDC forces. The idea is to win the liberty people over by pretending to be concerned about CBDCs, while simultaneously steering people away from the solution: cryptocurrencies.
