i know that public opinion on him is low. but him maintaining an ultra high pass rate so that joe burrow can sling it to ja’marr chase and tee higgins is worth a couple win percentage points per game over a neutral pass rate for sure. it’s probably worth some of his shortcomings just for that
and you can’t say any coach would let burrow have a high pass rate because so many of the top quarterbacks in the league are in offenses with a neutral to negative PROE

@tylerjschoon There’s no doubt it was a reach. Not an egregious one but a reach. But they traded down first which if you know you’re going to reach is the smart thing to do. Don’t love the value to consensus but if you factor in the trade down compensation hard to be upset.

It's not making it a character pick, I'm just telling you the background work is awesome. It'll take that and football IQ to make an instant push to guard. Important stuff to ask about and note.
Also, you can't say anyone is correct or incorrect 48 minutes after the player was drafted. I had a Round 3 grade. Which, at 63 in a weaker class totally works. Stuff I like, stuff I don't.
Make some space for people to wonder how the center-only guard guy translates to guard and why they didn't go with other options.

@tylerjschoon Similar path to both Mike McDonald and Minter. Who both left jobs as assistants under the Harbaughs to get a year of experience calling plays at a lower level to then be brought back up
