Our small but mighty charity spent the day with brilliant volunteers from @BDandCo for their #DifferenceInADay Marathon. With our team BD brought their expertise to one of our biggest challenges: reducing delays in recognising & treating adrenal crisis in emergency settings. 1/2

Huge gratitude to the @taprootfound for organizing this initiative, and to the brilliant @twilio engineering team who gave their time and expertise. One lesson I'm walking away with: it's invaluable to share the solution you're building with others, just to get their perspective. The approach you're convinced is the best one isn't always the right one. Stay open to exploring alternatives, and adopt a "solution architecture" mindset — factor in the other variables that matter just as much as the technical elegance: cost, scalability, user context, maintainability. Sometimes the smartest move isn't building the cleverest solution. It's building the right one.
