@LoveJones_6 Lol, I was also disappointed with the discussion on colorism. It was two minutes long, and there was still so much deflection. I like your research questions. I've taught lessons about colorism in a community based educational space with girls of color but not K-12 history.

As a Real Housewives scholar, I’m always thinking about ways to infuse RH into my “academic” work. 😂 As a 👩🏾 I am especially disappointed by #RHOP and their irresponsible discussion on colorism. But I do wonder, how, if, do history teachers discuss colorism in their classrooms?

@WolfInMen42 @Lenny_P_Cover @NPR Well for example, the category Black/African American is intended to include Black people of different ethnic backgrounds. I would check that box because I'm Black and my ethnicity is Jamaican. I grew up in NYC and I was surrounded by Black people of different ethnicities.

@django_paris How timely. I was having a similar conversation with one of my colleagues yesterday. I find creative works deeply moving and insightful and I use them in my teaching practice and that's why I draw on them in my writing.
