@europa They are already successfully doing it with the high costs of buying property no need for extra bills…. 😅

🇩🇪 Germany’s government is proposing a bill that could block people from buying homes if they’re suspected of “anti-constitutional” views — even without any criminal conviction. The draft would give local authorities first refusal on property sales and allow intelligence agencies to share personal data to vet buyers. It is framed as a way to stop extremism. Follow: @europa

@kimmonismus I agree, but we should definitely have a hyperscaler of our own, invest heavily in computing power, and we have the technology to build those massive datacenters and factories. We should also power them with nuclear energy.

@TyroneC__ The problem is health and pension insurance that are quite expensive and make it look as you are taxed a lot more

@TyroneC__ It’s progressive, you also don’t pay that in all your income just on the part above certain threshold

Being self-employed in germany is the endboss. If you can make it here you can make it anywhere. I pay: - 35-40% tax - 1.300€ in health insurance / month Every. Single. Month. Paying for health insurance is like renting a second flat that i never use. This is a ton of pressure for smaller entrepreneurs on top of all the bureaucracy you have to tackle. And no the healthcare system is not as good as you think.

Cancelled. It makes no sense to pay @claudeai for telling me to slow down when, as an entrepreneur, I need to speed up. No, paying more isn’t the solution. I will use @GeminiApp more for my company stuff and @ChatGPTapp for my day-to-day. I’ll keep Claude in the free version. Btw, I already have a @GitHubCopilot Plus subscription and use Claude Sonnet 4.6 there, so I will still be using the best coding model but not the consumer app.

one single @claudeai prompt to sonnet 4.6 WITHOUT thinking mode and it consumes 17% of my session usage..., either I'm doing something wrong or what... it is a long conversation so perhaps I should turn the entire chat into a file and upload it as a file to the project?

Update: I booked a train from the city where the accident happened and it looked all simple and cheap in the @DB_Bahn app, what i didn’t see was that the longest leg of the trip was with @FlixBus_SE and when I got to the station where I have to make the transbord I asked in the Info desk about it and the person there told me: I can’t give you any info about it, it is not with Deutsche Bahn… I thought: but I booked with Deutsche Bahn how comes you can’t give me info … Then I got to the train platform and the train was just arriving so we ran, I wasn’t sure if it was because the train number changed… Luckily I asked someone from FlixTrain and he explained to me that I had to book the tickets there, and if I don’t do it before boarding the train then the fee would be muuuch higher. I did it and boom 🤯 156€ !!! I felt so frustrated that I almost collapsed there but I had to be strong for my wife and son…. Even worst when I booked the train ticket I booked first class tickets as kind of a treat for my son so he feels better because the crash in the car let him sad and frustrated, but of course no first class in any train because the train was not with Deutsche Bahn.. To be continued…

I had a car accident 💥🚗 we are all good, sadly a dog lost his life 😔 Then we had to leave our car in a parking lot (I need to change to a better insurance) Then we tried getting an @Uber to the nearest train station to get back to Berlin but no Ubers around… 😳 So I opened @googlemaps and showed me the foot path in the image so we took our bags and started walking. The problem? The path was through a private warehouse… We found other two people also doing the same and were baffled. We needed to walk for another 20 mins . We got to the station but man this missing part is something that hopefully can be solved one day. This is sadly something that is not in our roadmap now, perhaps in Naurt’s (integration with them coming soon!) or @truemetricsio

I vibe-coded my own email campaign optimizer software, a three-email campaign system that makes constant automatic A/B tests on the subject line of each email. Subject lines are generated with a local open-source LLM, all running on my own Mac Mini, reaching 30-40%+ open rates in under three weeks. The first email has a personalization paragraph generated by the LLM using text scraped automatically from the lead's website.

@TweetsOfSumit Can confirm, it’s like companies create job postings just for the sake of it but noone is being hired

The job market in tech in Germany seems to be pretty tough right now. Maybe I'm in a bubble, but I'm seeing lots of folks, engineering leaders, PMs, developers, who struggle to find jobs right now. Unemployed for months. "Open to work"-badge on LinkedIn. They all had cushy 6-figure positions before and can't find anything right now. Are these isolated or something you can see as well?

Reading the Saturday edition of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (my daily newspaper). There’s an interview between a journalist and an AI expert, and something struck me. In Germany, the conversation around AI is almost entirely framed through fear. Should we “consume” AI in moderation, like a good beer? Who is responsible when it makes mistakes? Does it make us less intelligent if we use it too much? And so on. Not a single question focuses on the upside. Not one tries to explore what AI could actually do for humanity. Instead, the underlying question always seems to be: How much suffering will AI bring? This is absurd.

@arvidkahl I also don’t get it, i have an API business and i don’t see why i should even build an MCP server or a CLI, any agent capable of using MCP or a CLI should be able to use an API

Okay, serious question: what does offering a CLI allow your users to do that MCP or the good old REST API don’t already do? I really don’t get the hype.
