@kimberlywtan @a16z Agreed. At Kadoa we're focused on automating manual data workflows and being the web+data layer for AI agents.

📢 New @a16z thesis: We believe AI will automate operations and eat the world of RPA 🤖 Historically, most ops work couldn't be automated because it was too bespoke and lacked native integrations or APIs, and so was done manually or through imperfect RPA solutions. With generative AI, intelligent automation through AI agents is now possible. What we believe 👇

What are the biggest pains of extracting web data? Here are two: 1) Writing extraction code 2) Fixing broken extraction code See how Kadoa: - Auto-detects fields - Writes extraction code - Extracts data - Detects source code changes - Self-heals extraction code

@sharavsadhu wouldn't the received button result in another email?

Emails need an affirmative response feature the equivalent of "seen" but without the need for a pixel tracker or a silly "well received" type response. Just a button of sorts that updates the email status as "received" or "seen" or something of the sort for all parties involved without adding another email to threads. @heyhey @jasonfried @mimestream @CanaryMailApp @gmail

I have a list of 4000 URLS of PE firms, is there an LLM/AI tool that I can command to crawl them s to find every instance of an HVAC company on their portfolio pages?

Meta's goal from the start was to target OpenAI and the other proprietary model players with a "scorched earth" approach by releasing powerful open models to disrupt the competitive landscape and avoid being left behind in the AI race. Meta can likely outspend any other AI lab on compute and talent: - OpenAI makes an estimated revenue of $2B and is likely unprofitable. Meta generated a revenue of $134B and profits of $39B in 2023. - Meta's compute resources likely outrank OpenAI by now. - Open source likely attracts better talent and researchers. The big winners of this: devs and AI product startups

Leaked (possibly real?) evals for Llama 3.1. Base models, not instruct. Open-source is about to be SOTA — even the 70B is > gpt-4o, and this is before instruct tuning, which should make it even better. Tomorrow is going to be wild.

I want to quickly build web scrapers. What's the fastest/easiest tool for that? Basically I want to create scrapers for all tool brand (dewalt, milwaukee, ryobi, etc) sites to create a database of all of their tools.

If you’re a founder living outside SF, you must move to the bay before 2024 ends. We are entering the pre-AGI phase. A year in the world is a month in the valley; everything is exponential. Just move here. I did it ten months ago, and my life drastically changed. No excuses; I came directly from Caracas, probably the nation with the most US sanctions in the past five years. If u need advice on that, hmu.

Wow I'm so dumb. I'm doing sales and I set up a call which led to another call. But it'll be so much better if I just do everything in one call. Then I can make the sale sooooooo much faster! #buildinpublic
