Team had a hard fought, HUGE win (5-3) last night to lock up #2 in our district. Pitched a CG and had 10 Ks on the night to put me over 100 for my Freshman season! Also started this DP to help get us out of a tough inning.

Every player I ever coached was asking me the same 3 questions. They never said them out loud. It didn't matter what the lineup looked like. It didn't matter what the scoreboard said. They just needed to know 3 things. And every leader, every coach, every parent is being asked the same ones. Here they are. Question #1: Can I trust you? Trust isn't given. It's earned. You earn it through transparency and honesty not when things are going well, but when things are hard. How I built it: • Do what you say you're going to do • Tell them what they need to hear, not what they want to hear • Show up the same way whether you're winning or losing You lose trust fast. You build it slow. Question #2: Can you make me better? This one is on you as a leader. They're not just asking about their swing or their stats. They're asking: do you see me clearly enough to help me grow? Question #3: Do you care about me? This is the most important one. And you can't fake it. You can't lead anybody if they don't believe you care about them beyond what they produce on the field. Three questions. No stat tracks them. But they determine everything.

RECRUITING NEWS!! If passed this will eventually change the recruiting landscape for the best. President Donald Trump has already signed an Executive Order on this. IMO, Colleges will have to adjust the way they are recruiting and focus more on high school prospects and player development. The annual team hopping created by the transfer portal will be greatly reduced. In the interim, yes some college players could get an extra year of eligibility, but as this plays out it will create more opportunities for PSA's.
"Per several sources, Next week, an NCAA committee will discuss a new age-based standard for athlete eligibility that would grant athletes five full years of eligibility from the time of their 19th birthday or their high school graduation.
No waiver requests, redshirts or exceptions will be permitted"

Had my number called in the 5th inning. Was able to help our team come out with the 'W' in our 4th district game (4-0) against Rowlett HS. Two of my 4 Ks ended the game! HUGE props to Payton (Catcher) for always having my back and battling thru being banged up! Gig'em Owls!!!

We finished our third and final tournament (McKinney ISD) going 4-1. I had a good 3 days all around.
Finished with pretty good numbers at the plate (3 HR, 9 RBI) and in the circle (10 innings; 2 ER; 18 Ks; 1.40 ERA). Two of the HRs were 235+ ft. #SheSwingsSlugger

Had my first HS Tournament last week. Unfortunately, inclement weather canceled Saturday's games. Finished with a .750 AVG, .889 OBP, 2.639 OPS & 1.750 SLG (Single, Double, HR, 5 RBI, 4 Walks, HBP)
