Losing is a disease. Contagious as bubonic plague. But curable. Five stages to grief. On the fourth day we approach accepatance and hope returns. As a Steelers fan it’s cyclical as statistically almost every win is met with a loss (plus one or two extra wins for good measure). Hope springs eternal. #HereWeGoAgain

Well. We’re officially to the point in the week where I have myself convinced the Steelers win Saturday in Baltimore. 4 days ago I would’ve blown it all up. Today something inside me is like, it could be a magical run. You never know. They’ve done it before. This isn’t healthy.

Appreciate your thoughts and POV. Didn’t equate the Strip and downtown. Said we were walking to the Strip from downtown. First time staying downtown @ Renaissance. We try to stay in a different neighborhood each time we visit, e.g. Strip, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill. Always been great. I don’t live on X like some but this post caught my eye after our experience and I gave my ten cents as it was quite memorable in a bad way. Hope the money is well spent and that the situation we witnessed downtown improves.

Born there. Drove 18 hours round trip several times for Steelers games in recent years. It has gotten progressively worse. Last time we visited my kids and our foreign exchange student got to witness an overdose on our pregame walk to the Strip and it was clear there is a major drug problem dahntahn. Folks passed out all around. Money alone isn’t gonna fix this. Pittsburgh is/was a gem, but I am now hesitant to return with my family. Do better.
