Chelsea Handler just revealed she went on a date with celebrity chef Bobby Flay… and it went badly. In typical Chelsea fashion, she name-dropped the experience while spilling on modern dating woes. Ouch. While Bobby Flay may be a world-class chef, going out with Chelsea Handler suggests his taste in women might need some seasoning. 🍳😬 What do you think — was it the food, the conversation, or just bad chemistry? All culinary jokes aside, could you imagine such an odd combination as Handler and Flay as a couple? (Video: AI)

BREAKING🚨 Trump spent all week bragging that he got Stephen Colbert “fired.” Less than 24 hours later, Colbert was back on TV with Jack White, Eminem, Steve Buscemi, and Jeff Daniels — flipping him the bird from a tiny public access studio in Michigan. Thursday night, after 11 years, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ended on CBS. Trump immediately took a victory lap, posting an AI video of himself grabbing Colbert and throwing him into a dumpster, then dancing on the lid. He ranted that Colbert was “talentless,” celebrated that he was “finally finished,” and basically declared himself the man who got a critic taken off network TV. The party lasted about 23 hours. Friday at 11:30 p.m., Colbert popped back up — not on a major network, but on Monroe Community Media 1 in Monroe, Michigan, hosting the local public‑access show “Only in Monroe.” He read goofy local news, roasted his former bosses at CBS, and welcomed surprise guests Jack White and Jeff Daniels. Then came cameos from Steve Buscemi and hometown legend Eminem, who wandered onto the set just to show they were in on the joke. All that star power, crowding into a community‑access studio, just to send one message: you can’t cancel someone who won’t shut up. “It’s been an excruciating 23 hours without being on TV,” Colbert deadpanned, before thanking Monroe Community Media for having him “before they get acquired by Paramount.” That’s the whole story in one line: Trump can lean on billionaires and corporate bosses. He can post his little AI cartoons. But he cannot actually make a voice disappear if that person is determined to keep talking — even if it’s from the most bare‑bones cable channel in Michigan. This is what authoritarian types never understand. Censoring a critic doesn’t kill the criticism. It amplifies it. By gloating over Colbert’s finale and literally sharing a fantasy of throwing him in the trash, Trump turned a late‑night host into a free‑speech folk hero. Instead of quietly exiting the stage, Colbert got a new, bigger story: the comic who went from CBS to public access overnight just to prove that comedy doesn’t belong to corporations or presidents. Now the clip that’s going viral isn’t Trump’s AI dumpster video. It’s Colbert sitting in a cramped local studio with Jack White and Eminem, laughing about how fast he bounced back. Everyone’s talking about the comedian Trump tried to erase — and how small, petty, and thin‑skinned the president looks in comparison. Whatever Colbert does next, he’s going to be living rent‑free in Trump’s head the entire time. And the more Trump tries to silence him, the louder that little public‑access studio in Monroe is going to sound.

This is a Wrigley Field (Chicago Cubs home) tradition, the visiting team sends their rookies outside the stadium in their uniforms to fetch coffee for the rest of the team. ☕️ The Houston Astros appear to have a lot of rookies! 😳 My guy has a clipboard I guess to take attendance and make sure they are all partaking. 😂 Wrigley field has an atmosphere like no other. 💯 So many traditions there. I never knew this was a tradition. Have you ever been to Wrigley Field? Did you know this was a tradition there? Is a visit to Wrigley on your bucket list?

It is with deep sadness that I share with you the news that Kerry Sheron, a 69-year-old Army veteran, tragically passed away Sunday night after being brutally beaten by his neighbor, all because he loved our country and President Trump. Please send all your love and prayers to Kerry’s wife and family on this difficult day. May God bless his beautiful soul. We thank him for his service to our country. 😔💔

love when people challenge great minds but personal experiences shape our views in profound ways. what specific story influenced your stance?
Cynical Publius@CynicalPublius

I love Grey and think she is one of the most amazingly talented political writers I have ever known. But I feel compelled to disagree with her on this one. My personal story is why I disagree. Some facts about my X account: 1. I started it in 2016 because I was sick and tired of people libeling Donald Trump as “racist.” (Think what you want about the man, but he has never had a “racist" bone in his body.) 2. On Twitter, I never had more than 2,000 followers. I was never famous. I wrote the exact same stuff I write now, except I was constantly shadow-banned, suspended, suppressed in the algorithm and ultimately permanently suspended the night of the 2020 Biden/Trump debate. I was live-Tweeting the debate and was suddenly shut up, seemingly forever—for no known reason at all. 3. Elon bought Twitter, made it X, and set my account free. After that my writing and my following went through the roof. Elon Musk has reposted me. Vice President Vance has reposted me. I became a genuine author, publishing in real periodicals. I’ve been on many podcasts and radio shows. People read what I write. I get quoted and cited often in major media outlets. All with my little rando pseudonymous account. That would have been IMPOSSIBLE without X. 4. X promised to reward true content creators, and that has been abundantly true for me. I’ve never engagement farmed, I’ve never not produced original, long-form content, I play by the X rules and monetization has, in fact, rewarded me—X pays me enough to live on these days. 5. Yes, bad stuff happens. Once my pseudonym was stripped away, I received death threats. My threads are constantly full of rabid antisemitic hate and a wide variety of insane conspiratorialists. I block people often because of their insanity—usually crazed racists, many of whom are unhappy that I’m married to a strong black woman. The “Lists” feature is broken—I am constantly added to lists of “Pedophiles” and “Racists” and “Nazis.” I have to frequently monitor that and block the list creators to preserve my account. It’s hard work. 6. X is frustratingly opaque on its rules regarding the algorithm and monetization. Making the code visible works for engineers but not the average user—X needs to explain its policies in these areas in high detail and not change them every ten minutes. Creators are being chased away due to this uncertainty. Despite the bad things I mentioned above, X is the closest thing to a true free speech, global town square that has ever existed. Elon means well. Nikita means well. They have pledged to reward high-quality, original content, and they have. Are there still all kinds of nasty warts? Absolutely. But they are striving for constant improvement, even if sometimes their efforts don’t work. Most importantly, they have the strongest (although admittedly imperfect) commitment to free speech of any social media platform to ever exist. I hope Grey reconsiders. We need her ferocious voice. But I felt the need to offer a competing view so that maybe current creators and aspiring creators will not lose hope. The Constitution is full of holes and problems, but it is still the least imperfect system of governance that has ever existed. X also is full of holes and problems, but it is still the least imperfect free speech platform that has ever existed. Please do not lose hope and let’s make X work for all of us, whatever our level of interest.
