@CitizenUddin Its a shame, as I agree with your mission, but you come across as a real sanctimonious arsehole here and that's really not going to help the cause. He didn't put anyone in danger, he didn't obstruct the pavement and he was far more considerate than the majority of motorists.
Windsor Road, Ealing
This resourceful rider, avoided the ANPR camera, by pushing his bike on the pavement. But he didn't avoid mine.
"No Motor Vehicles" restriction here. And even pushing your motorbike through is still an offence.
Statues of people put up in public places should all have a time limit of 20 years, after which they're taken down and replaced with one of someone contemporary. No wants our city streets cluttered with 100 year old statues of pasty old white blokes who probably owned slaves.
@samuel_z1993@anon_opin I disagree. I think cars breed a sense of detachment from danger, whereas a motorcycle (or cycle) makes you a lot more aware of your surroundings and potential hazards.
We should encourage more commuting by motorcycle. You can fit far more bikes in the space a car takes up - both on the road and parking. It's not suitable for moving a wardrobe, 15 kids, or whatever arguments usually arise when it's suggested - but for just commuting it's perfect
@anon_opin As a former radiographer I can't tell you just how bad an idea this is - the vast majority of RTA are motorcycles and most of them either die or end up disabled.
3 points for not wearing a seat belt. That will give us something else to look out for when dobbing in drivers for mobile phone driving.
Incredulously, and despite being one of the fatal four, drivers currently only face a £50 fine for not wearing one. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
We scrapped all the youth clubs, made everything expensive, took away things like skate parks, built massive housing estates with no green space, and wonder why kids get up to no good online. It's a complete mystery that definitely isn't a problem of our own making.
41% less prison offices than we had 20 years ago, in a growing prison population.

Where's all the money gone?
@CyclingKent101 Joining Facebook recently has been a real eye opener as to the shockingly poor standard of literacy that exists in this country, and yes mainly from the anti-cycling idiots.
People don’t talk about it but Covid did unrepairable damage to non 9-5 jobs.
Before Covid my college town had coffee shops open till 2AM. The mall stores were open till 10.
But we decided to shut the world down for 3 years so boomers wouldn’t get the flu, so everything closed at 7 now.
Can somebody please help me understand why Reform are ahead in the polls?
Their leader is someone who has never served or tried to help the people who vote for him.
Even as a member of parliament he’s never there, he’s not even in the country most of the time.
Why support them?
U.K GDP is $5000 more per person than France, yet there isn’t a speck of litter on the streets or beaches of Brittany, where I’m holidaying, and, by 2026, the French will retire five years earlier than us.
Economic growth cannot solve the problems of our unwell society.
@unlimited_ls I don't think people realize this could happen to any of us. Whether or not he did it intentionally, it is possible in today's busy world to forget that your baby is with you. Maybe his wife usually had the baby so he wasn't used to doing her routine. It can happen to any of us.
NEW: Father arrested after 18-month-old son dies in hot unattended truck; body temperature reached 111 degrees
Florida deputies say Scott Allen Gardner, 33, left his 18-month-old son locked in a hot truck for over three hours on June 6
During that time, Gardner allegedly went to get a haircut and drank at Hanky Panky’s Lounge
Officials reported Sebastian's body temperature reached 111 degrees
Investigators say Gardner gave "multiple conflicting accounts" of what happened
The officer who tried to save Sebastian was the same one who arrested Gardner at his mother’s house
Gardner has been arrested on charges of aggravated mansl*ughter of a child and child neglect causing great bodily harm
Over 16 million people in the UK are now opting for private healthcare - myself included. We should introduce tax deductions for those of us easing the burden on the NHS. If we’re taking the pressure off, our taxes should reflect that
@uncledoomer I think it was more to do with emissions and air quality for the people outside of the car whilst its sat stationary in traffic, not a way to save the owner of the car some money.
the last time i saw someone do the math on this, it was something like it saves you maybe $5 worth of gas if you own the car for over 200,000 miles, whereas it puts 100x the wear on your starter, which is hundreds of bucks to replace
