@KeithHavers @harryrose28 @NoCyclopathTO I'm really looking forward to seeing how Harry plans to put all these people in their place. My guess, he'll piggyback on someone else's thread and use the C word.

@Sgalby1875 Agree. As someone has stated elsewhere, that's why we have to build infrastructure to mitigate the risks.

Is there a perfect driver? I don't thing so. I'm certainly not perfect. My problem is with those who have little or no regard for others - the ones who lack empathy for other road users. It's surprisingly easy to be cool to one another when using the road.

@CyclingKent101 We don't need perfect, but our current road system makes any imperfections potentially lethal to ourselves & others around us. There are ways to make roads safer for all. One is by not voting for Conservative or far right governments.

And STILL! By his own admission, lack of visibility is an issue of an HGV, yet doesn't support cyclists jumping red lights where safe.
john wilbye@wilbye999

@CyclingKent101 I suggest you sit in the cab of an hgv and see the lack of visibility even with their 5 mirrors

I'm not sure our angry drivers ever got to grips with the point I was making on this post. They're all about arguing rules they don't like..... But believe I should sit at a red light on a clear crossing with a massive HGV about a yard from my back wheel.
CyclingKent@CyclingKent101

Anti-cyclists double standards. Example one: "Drivers must not cut across cyclists going ahead when turning into a junction" IGNORE - CYCLISTS NEED TO LOOK OUT FOR CARS. Example two: "Cyclists must stop at red lights" AGREE - CYCLISTS SHOULD ABIDE BY THE LAW.

@muffmasterh Right. You mean the one where you proved logical thinking isn't a strong point of yours? Charlie - two questions. Answer or block. 1, How many years did you spend in school? 2. During that time, did any teachers explain capital letters? I ask, because you seem massively thick

@CyclingKent101 Talking about safety, you would happily endange women's safety if you felt it contained a potentially negative nessage on cycling !

@Tricky_1984 @martynschmoll Richard, I've told you the rules. If you choose to comment on my posts, write in English. Your comments and unreadable and bring on a migraine. Why are anti-cyclist accounts ALWAYS operated by thick people?

@CyclingKent101 I don't see what's so difficult about following all the rules which apply to us. If you're driving - don't cut across cyclists If you're cycling (or driving) - stop at red lights. The HC demonstrates that the two can co-exist.

@CyclingKent101 You still didn't answer my question if the bike his behind the driver turning should the cyclist not hold back and allow the car to turn instead of cutting inside and causing an issue

@CyclingKent101 In your image the driver should clearly wait In the Video the driver is indicating well before the cyclist passes on his inside. If the law is on our side in that circumstance - its a poor law that defies common sense. I certainly wont be in a hurry to prove im dead right

@CyclingKent101 I am a keen cyclist, but here the cyclist is wrong. The car is not overtaking and cutting in front, but rather being overtaken on inside by a cyclist who hopes and trusts that the driver can see him in his mirrors. Regardless of any laws it is stupidity of the highest degree.

@CyclingKent101 It's not a case of "believing", it's called the law. The highway code also tells cyclists to watch where they're going even when they have priority (rules 74 & 76). Common sense is something that can't be legislated unfortunately
