TFW your entire day is planned around searching PubMed and/or meetings about searching PubMed, and PubMed isn't working #medlibs

@BESAFE_HORIZON Have you removed the guidelines for deprescribing benzos and sedatives? The link on the website does not go to full text, only main page.

@amybethreyes Stardust - fairy tale/fantasy story. Not enough people know about the movie (adapted from Neil Gaiman book). Bonus: includes a younger Henry Cavill that is near unrecognizable.

"Can my husband find out who I am voting for in the Presidential Election?" 🗳️ We've been getting this question a lot, so we rounded up some helpful facts. Please share this 🧵

@NoetheMatt @gabbs415 I'm so sorry that you lost Luna. It leaves a gaping hole in your heart. Not everyone will get that either. The grief will hit you in unexpected ways. Take care and give yourself a lot of grace, even as you remember all the joy and bittersweet memories.

@carrieprice78 I was in a presentation recently and one of speakers said bioethics as a field and discipline has really only been around since the 1970s. 😳 Really started with Henry Beecher article on late 1960s, became a thing in 70s. It's scary to think about.

@SRLibProblems This is why I love Cook's Illustrated - 2 pages of methodology before they give you the actual recipe. All the things they tried, and the outcomes, clearly reported.

@katemsaylor Both recorded, thankfully! I have a third conflict that I must prioritize so I'll miss both 😭

I don't know who needs to hear this, but any "virtual meeting" that doesn't need to have cameras on or screen sharing is just an overly complicated phone call.

@CathVoutier What's really fun is asking someone who is not a #medlibs to guess the one that's actually a bibliographic database - and usually getting a wrong answer.

@katemsaylor Also when I truly get to nerd out about some #medlibs thing (MeSH, searching, whatever) with someone and they are nerding out just as much. Bonus points if they aren't a medlibs but still get it.

@katemsaylor Getting external validation or confirmation that a search I did, information I found, or even a question I asked to clarify an information need made a difference. Can be a small thing or big, but knowing what I do has a positive impact. That dopamine hit? 🤌💋 #medlibs
