Wow. Beautiful. A reminder as they are banning affirmative action and DEI and pretending we’ve suddenly become post-racial how very near this so-called racist past is.

This sort of coverage versus the coverage of the actual violence against pro-Palestinian protestors at UCLA confirms why so many of us call out the false god of objectivity in journalism. It has never existed. Choices about framing, emphasis, legitimacy are made every single day and they are often a reflection of bias.

Also: The folks with MAJORITY ownership, like himself, are the ones who make the decisions — both within their franchises and in league matters. Fun fact: The Cowboys are among the NFL teams who have never had a Black non-interim head coach. But we’re supposed to believe he’d do “whatever it takes” to get Black folks in ownership? Yeah, ok.

I’m disappointed, but not surprised, that my amendment to cut military spending by 10% received only 11 votes.
