Someone I know is battling breast cancer, so a bunch of her friends donated things for a charity auction. I threw in a big box of autographed books. A farm boy from Dyar, KY, PFC Strother J Preston was awarded the Purple Heart for paying the ultimate sacrifice in March, 1945.
Fighting in the 38th Infantry Regiment, we honor his memory!

Why is it that the US Marine corps outright warships Chesty Puller, yet the Army doesn't seem to have anywhere near the same level of reverence for its heroes? Like it wouldn't surprise me if some US Army soldiers don't even know who the hell Audie Murphy is.
