@vladgeorgescu I’ve never had a bad experience at the Apple Store. Their employees are the best. Even when they can’t help or do anything for my problem, they make me feel good.

16 years ago I waited in a long line outside the apple store to buy the first ipad. I was so excited to walk home with it! The very next morning I dropped it on the bathroom floor and cracked the screen. And I don’t mean a tiny crack. It was completely wrecked. There was no apple care back then. I wasn’t earning that much. I was devastated. I went back to the apple store to see if they can replace the screen and how much it would cost. I was afraid the only solution was to buy a new one. “Hi how can I help you?” “I’m a dumbass” and showed him the cracked screen. “Oh man. Let me see what I can do.” He took my cracked ipad somewhere in the back. About ten minutes later he came back. He was holding a box. “Be more careful next time.” He handed me a brand new ipad. For free. I couldn’t believe it. He didn’t have to do that. He could’ve just said “sorry nothing we can do” but instead he went and persuaded his boss to do a good deed for a complete stranger. I don’t think stuff like this happens anymore. But 16 years ago, that interaction with an apple store employee left a profound mark on me.

So, according to the almighty “algorithm,” my account is suppressed because I roast people too hard sometimes. I tried being nice for a couple days (I was supposed to be nice for a week, but then the Left started spreading the stupid and I couldn’t resist) and that didn’t work, so here’s how I’m going to do this: I’m going to continue to be who I am and you all are going to have to actively search for my posts, since X has its shovel out over my stuff. @bowtiedmeathead They do drive us nuts. They are supposed to be programmed so that if you go the speed limit, they are all set to be green for a long, long way. But that seems to be beyond the tech skill of whoever is currently in charge. Maddening.

Great week in Florida… My only complaint is all the traffic lights that are every 1/4 mile and 20 mins long. I know first world problems but it would drive me nuts if I lived here. Takes 30 mins to drive 6 miles. Not including all the bridge draws. Better off living in the country side with open roads

A teen cousin showed me this in her AP American Government book. Trump is similar ideologically to Hitler and Bernie Sanders is a touch off the center to the left.

I don’t get called to review history text books for adoption for upcoming years in my county anymore….every page, from every major company, about conservatives, republicans and especially Trump’s first term was 100% biased. All of the companies do it. It’s maddening. Of course, being one of the few teachers who believe in unbiased script for all of our students, my scores for each book would be low, while the majority spoke highly about how great they are. And of course we spent gazillions adopting them instead of demanding they do better.

If you remove pork from cafeterias, you’re not being respectful, you’re letting yourself be conquered. If you stop having or walking dogs, you’re not being respectful, you’re letting yourselves be conquered. If you let people block traffic and impact transit to pray, you’re not being respectful, you’re being conquered. When you let people new to your country break your laws, and you go light on them, you’re not being respectful, you’re being conquered. Respectful is acknowledging people’s right to eat the foods they want and practice the religion they choose and follow the traditions they want without hate or discrimination. Forcing every one else in your society to change to accommodate their demands? Thats being conquered. Our societies need to stop allowing themselves to be conquered. While they’re still able to stop it.

NYC spent $81,705 per homeless person last year.. the median American household earned $81,228.. the government spent MORE to keep someone homeless than most families earned to keep themselves housed.. that $81,705 isn't going to the homeless person.. it's going to the system around them.. shelters, administrators, case managers, contracts, overhead.. the industry that manages homelessness.. not the end of it.. if NYC gave every homeless person that money directly.. they could afford nearly 2 years of rent.. most of them wouldn't be homeless anymore.. instead the money goes to the system.. the system keeps running.. the homelessness stays.. and every year they ask for more funding to manage the problem that the funding was supposed to solve.. the homeless are worth $81,705 a year to the system.. they're worth nothing to it solved..

NEW: Tulsa, Oklahoma, has unveiled the state's first-ever "musical road" that plays "This Land is Your Land" when drivers drive over it. The new feature can be experienced when drivers pass over the Southwest Boulevard Bridge. The taxpayer price tag works out to about $5,800 per second of music, totaling $110,000.
