@DeputyGrocott This is always controversial but as a proud Cornish woman it is obviously jam and then cornish clotted cream. But butter on its own is good and therefore neutral:)

We’re staying right on the Devon/Cornwall border so the scone thing is very confusing. I’ve just decided to go with butter. That’s ok right?

@secretHT1 I have seen this many a time but do not know what it stands for/ means ....

@englishspecial Agree it works for most but worried that for those who find it so hard to form letters that interventions put them off more.

@englishspecial Agree but my son had every intervention for handwriting from y2 to 7 and had a primary school teacher for a mum. It works for the majority of children but not for those who have problems forming letters. My son has ended up doing his gcse online and will probably get 9 in all.

For SATs results tomorrow, remember: - the chn have had 6 yrs of schooling prior to Y6, w/ ~6 diff teachers & only 8 months in Y6 b4 the tests - they were 4h of work which are supposed to represent 7 yrs of education (not forgetting COVID) - they only assess a fraction of the NC
