@AstroBalrog @WeAreTeachers (2/2) I know this is not always the case, but I have heard parents say, "If you need it, they will supply it." That is not always the case. We may have pay for out of our own pocket. I am lucky. My husband knows and we budget; other teacher work extra jobs to help supply.

@AstroBalrog @WeAreTeachers Yep. In my district, we get $250 for consumables per year. When I was in school, my parents bought my school supplies and helped out those who could not. Nowadays, it seems that is not the norm. Parents who can afford, won't. (1/2)
