Here’s the deal… Everything I said would happen up to this point right now (10am) has happened as expected. The BIG question here is whether the Low Center takes the path on the left, or the path on the right from Cape Hatteras. The left path puts 12-20” in NEPA The right path produces 0-2” in NEPA The 12z models jumped on the right arrow path, but given the position of the inverted trough, that may not actually be correct. The NWS has continuously bumped up totals for our region. However, I remain skeptical that these totals will occur widespread, as banding and dry slots may significantly cut back on snow amounts. Happy #Blizzard2026!

Dc to Philly GFS a fully expect GFS to back off these super high totals that’s been my focus all along. If the low doesn’t cutoff early like the GFS shows then this turns into a minor event fast like what the euro shows.
