₦387 trillion in 2022. ₦1.07 quadrillion in 2024. In two years, Nigeria’s digital economy almost tripled. And in 2024 alone, 11 billion transactions moved through the system. This didn’t happen in isolation. It reflects years of regulatory direction and infrastructure build-out led by the Central Bank of Nigeria. What you’re seeing in the numbers is coordination at scale. Identity systems that anchor trust. Payment switches that speak to each other. Millions more people and businesses participating in formal finance. Nigeria’s growth offers signals for the rest of the continent. 👉🏾Follow @tc_insights_ for more
