Talking of solar Early last moved into a new house Would use roughly kes 7-10k to a month on tokens. Previous house it was 800-1500. The electrical expert in me was like nah, hii nyumba nabuy one panel monthly. No way Ordered 2 pcs 600w panels, 5kwh lithium battery and 3kw hybrid inverter from mysupplier. This is not cheap😃 Installed them and integrated into the house wiring. ( don’t try this at home if you’re not a professional) Kplc only runs shower and oven only. Everything else from electric kettle, microwave, washing machine, tv, etc runs on solar 24/7. Best decision ever. Am just a boy😁

🌡️ What qualifies as a Heat Wave in Kenya? In the Kenyan context, a heat wave is defined as a period of three or more consecutive days of extremely high daytime temperatures that exceed locally determined thresholds and are associated with increased health risks ⚠️. Based on research using Kenya Meteorological Department temperature records and health data from major urban centres, the proposed thresholds for issuing heat-health alerts are: 🏙️ Nairobi: daily maximum temperature of 32°C or higher for three or more consecutive days 🌊 Kisumu: daily maximum temperature of 37°C or higher for three or more consecutive days 🏖️ Mombasa: daily maximum temperature of 36°C or higher for three or more consecutive days These thresholds reflect local climate conditions and observed links between high temperatures and increased hospital visits, admissions, and mortality 🏥📈. When exceeded, they can be used to trigger heat-health action plans and emergency response measures 🚑, particularly to protect vulnerable populations 👶👵 in Kenya’s major urban centres. 📖 Read more on the @meteoKenya research behind Kenya’s heat thresholds: preparecenter.org/resource/ident… 👀 Stay updated on the latest weather information through our official platforms ⬇️ 📥 Weekly Forecast: meteo.go.ke/our-products/7… 📥 County Forecasts: meteo.go.ke/our-products/c… 📲 WhatsApp Channel: whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va… 🌦️ FASTA-Ken: tinyurl.com/FASTAweather 🌍 Website: meteo.go.ke ✅ Stay informed. KMD Clarification on Circulating Heat Wave Alert The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) @MeteoKenya Kenya would like to clarify that the heat wave alert currently circulating on social media is not an official communication from KMD. We are aware of the message and urge members of the public to ignore it. As shown in KMD temperature climatology, January, February, and March are typically the hottest months in Kenya, and the warmer-than-average temperatures currently being experienced are normal for this period and consistent with the forecast. Weather Forecast for 27th January – 2nd February 2026: Predominantly sunny and dry conditions are expected over much of the country. However, isolated light rainfall is likely to occur in a few areas, particularly the Highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Coastal region, and the south-eastern lowlands. Average daytime (maximum) temperatures above 30°C are anticipated over the Coastal region, North-eastern and North-western Kenya, and parts of the south-eastern lowlands, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, and Western Kenya. Average night-time (minimum) temperatures are expected to be less than 10°C in some parts of the Central Highlands, the North and Central Rift Valley, Western Kenya, and in the vicinity of Mt. Kilimanjaro. KMD will continue to monitor conditions and will issue official advisories as necessary through its verified channels. Members of the public are encouraged to rely only on official KMD information and avoid sharing unverified weather messages. 👀 Stay updated on the latest weather information through our official platforms ⬇️ 📥 Weekly Forecast: meteo.go.ke/our-products/7… 📥 County Forecasts: meteo.go.ke/our-products/c… 📲 WhatsApp Channel: whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va… 🌦️ FASTA-Ken: tinyurl.com/FASTAweather 🌍 Website: meteo.go.ke ✅ Stay informed. @jeyurkon If for example you're watching normal broadcast TV, the INFO button will reveal information like the date, time, aspect ratio, picture quality and such. These might change if you're on HDMI or USB playback

Unajua, what pisses me off about this whole discourse is the fact that CBD developments are only limited to few sections. Hua tunapigiwa picha ya Moi Avenue archives na that road at Kencom leading to KICC, then we all go frenzy on praising Nairobi and it's skyscrapers. Deep down, sisi wenye tuko uko kila siku we get disgusted a lot. Uncovered manholes, leaking underground sewage lines takes almost 2 days without anyone attending them, unevenly placed cabros that can trip you, small children forcing you to buy chocolates, kanjos only focused on collecting money from every moving matatu so they can allow people to alight, dangerously moving matatus hooting every second, boda boda riders using pedestrian walkways, traffic snarl ups that never end along Mombasa Road but yes, let's take pictures of traffic lights at night from dangerous angles and praise Nairobi for looking so damn beautiful. Ngara looks like a street in Nigeria with litter from people's homes and oil spillage everywhere, Past Tom Mboya Avenue, River road, Kariokor, OTC, muthurwa looks like it's not part of Nairobi. Until such a time all sections of Nairobi get the same treatment, nothing close to development is taking place.

I absolutely hate these shopping QR codes @YouTube puts in the TV app. They are just a nuisance & I find my self wanting to pause the video and it opens up something completely different. If I wanted to buy something, I'll fish it from the the video description @YouTubeCreators
