Didn't Trump's party also call for a recall vote when he lost to Biden? Technically, if you look at it, he lost to Biden twice. We also won't forget when they held a press conference outside a landscaping business next to an adult entertainment venue while claiming the election was stolen. Trump already knows the midterm elections may not go his way, which is why he's trying to get rid of mail-in voting, claiming it's a source of election fraud. At the same time, he overlooks the fact that mail-in voting is also used by members of the U.S. military stationed overseas and by people with disabilities who may not be able to vote in person.

Calling all African Americans "leeches" is ignorant and shows you either don't know history or you're choosing to ignore it. You must have forgotten about the Tulsa Race Massacre on May 31–June 1, 1921, when a white mob destroyed the prosperous Black community of Greenwood, known as "Black Wall Street." Hundreds of Black-owned businesses, homes, churches, and schools were burned to the ground, and estimates suggest as many as 300 people were killed. Or maybe you've forgotten about Wilmington, North Carolina (1898), where a white supremacist mob overthrew a legally elected government and destroyed Black-owned businesses, or Rosewood, Florida (1923), where an entire Black community was wiped off the map. Many Black families lost everything they had built. Their businesses were destroyed, their property was stolen or burned, and many were denied insurance claims or any meaningful compensation. They weren't "leeches" they were hardworking people whose success was violently taken from them. So before you throw around racist stereotypes, learn the history. It's hard to call people "leeches" when generations of their wealth, businesses, homes, and opportunities were destroyed by racial violence and never fully restored.

Blu-ray, vinyl, and books have one major advantage over many modern digital games: they do not rely on microtransactions. Physical media gives consumers something they can own, preserve, and enjoy for decades, while many digital games today are built around ongoing monetization systems. We all remember playing older games like Madden 64. Not once did we get spammed with requests to purchase a battle pass, skins, premium currency, or other microtransactions. You bought the game, you owned the game, and you could keep playing it years later. Notice how many of those older games still exist and are playable today. With companies like Sony moving away from physical game releases, it creates more opportunities for publishers and studios to push digital-only models that rely heavily on microtransactions, live-service features, and recurring spending. This also gives companies more incentive to maximize revenue from a game before eventually shutting down its servers, leaving players unable to access parts of the experience they paid for. This is why I hope initiatives like **Stop Killing Games** become law. Publishers such as Sony, Ubisoft, and others should not be able to continue taking people's money and then claim they have no responsibility when they decide to shut down a game. If a company ends support for a game and makes it unplayable, players who purchased the physical or digital version should be entitled to a full refund. Consumers deserve better protection. When we buy a game, we should have confidence that we are purchasing something we can continue to enjoy, not just renting temporary access to a service that can disappear whenever a company decides it is no longer profitable.

Movies still come on Blu-ray, music is still pressed on vinyl and books still fill store shelves. But as Sony moves to phase out physical PlayStation releases, many gamers are asking why video games should be the first major entertainment medium to go all digital. nbcnews.com/tech/video-gam…

Sounds like a false trigger. Getting flagged for something from 6 years ago makes it seem like AI moderation is actively scanning older posts and only just caught up to that server or post because of how large Discord's database is. But it's still dumb that Discord gives AI moderation the authority to ban accounts or limit account features without requiring a human to review the action first.

Some of these are already set up to point at parks, neighborhoods, and other locations. A few were also recently found to have no security enabled, allowing anyone to access them. The lack of security is the scariest part, especially if a terrorist, stalker, or other malicious person were to gain access to one of these Flock cameras that doesn't have a password or other proper security protections in place. We've also seen reports of law enforcement officers misusing access to Flock camera systems, including allegations that some used them to stalk or track their ex-partners. That makes strong security, oversight, and accountability even more important. Not to mention, imagine an unsecured Flock camera installed in a neighborhood where someone has a protective order against another person. If the restrained individual were somehow able to access that unsecured camera, it could potentially be used to monitor or locate the protected person, creating a serious safety and privacy risk. youtube.com/watch?v=vU1-ui…

@NotTheSame_Cord Yes and they've clarified that with law and court cases. But when they're not pointing at the road and pointing at people specifically that argument is lost and their justification for use is invalidated and should be illegal

Dirty Flockers. When these cameras stop pointing at cars and start pointing at sidewalks, parks, and daycare centers, the game completely changes. They're no longer just reading license plates — they're recording the faces and daily movements of families, children playing, and parents dropping their kids off. Nebraska law already recognizes invasion of privacy when someone intrudes upon your solitude in a highly offensive way. Mass surveillance of children at play and families in public parks should absolutely qualify. The fact that police are using our own tax dollars to fund this should make every parent in Nebraska furious

It was a way for Meta to say, "Hey, look you had this option enabled by default and never turned it off. It's not our fault that we used your data for AI training." Not only that, but they weren't transparent about it either. If a company is going to add an option like this, it should not be enabled by default for everyone. There are also children with public profile accounts on the platform. Meta knew exactly what they were doing. This isn't their first rodeo. One reason they enabled it by default is because they know there are millions of inactive accounts that are still public, even though the owners no longer post or use the platform. Those people aren't likely to log back in just to disable the setting, which gives Meta even more data to use for AI training. Meta has also been involved in multiple incidents and allegations related to user data privacy over the years, which is why many people are skeptical of decisions like this.
