i’m starting to think the experiment was never about growing an account. it was about seeing who i become if i show up every day for a year. the follower count just happens to measure the journey.

Day 1 of building a Tech brand A fortunate day Today has been a productive day. I posted another article and set-up a LinkedIn, Threads and Facebook account to help promote my blog posts. I also wrote another blog today on the best gaming keyboard under $100 USD. Today I learnt you must be thorough in order to build a reputable brand and don't be afraid just do it.

@TheGBreaker Honestly miss having it called twitter. I still call it that instead of X. It would be great to have both.

That is so damn true. I always hear that "AI is going to replace this and that" However while that might sort of be the case. It's never going to replace our individuality and personality. At the end of the day when you build a business people are going to turn up for you. Not AI

Hot take: If AI is running every part of your startup, you're not building a company. You're managing prompts. Founders still need judgment, vision, and hard decisions. AI can't replace that.

Become a tope 1% marketer: Go to a supper saturated niche. Health / wealth / relationships. One of these ^ Look at how everyone is solving the same problem but with a different solution. Notice the solution is essentially a mechanism. The “HOW”. Stop here. They are bringing a new HOW because the people seeing the ad have failed with the old HOW. So now we have a new opportunity. A new HOW. Then… See how they PROVE their new mechanism works. Look for proof. What makes the buyer believe that “this time it’ll be different..” New HOW + PROOF it works = marketing in a nutshell. Top 1% if you nail this.

@TheHunterBohm Very wise words. It's completely doable to work like that. I've done my fair share of work like that (Concreting, Flooring, Car repairs, Welding) and to be able to just earn without having to do those back breaking jobs is such a relief

When I was 16 I got my first pair of steel toe boots and I remember excitedly showing my grandpa. I thought I was moving up in the world. But he was not excited. He told me something that forever changed what I thought I was gonna do. He said: “Your goal in life should be never having to wear those and getting paid from the neck up.” Essentially to think. Not just be told what to do. I can’t even tell you how excited I was when I was finally able to say that I don’t get paid from the neck down. And not to discredit any blue collar workers. They’re fucking tough. But from my grandpas perspective, he worked hard his whole life and just wanted to show me that I could do more if I wanted to.

Quick tip when purchasing a mechanical keyboard. Don't buy the most expensive. Buy from a reputable brand in the midrange market.
