I think I need to go lie down… We taught an AI some Figma designs of a documentation site. It can now generate similar sites using my own custom components on ANY topic I want, ALL within Figma I can also click on any frame and request updates 🤯

@EBorgnia @relace_ai multi device & persistence is so huge. Hoping to never feel that feeling when you send an agent on a big task only to realize you closed your laptop later.

Today we're launching Jacq. A coding agent built together with the small models we've been training at @relace_ai for the past 1.5 years. It runs entirely in the cloud, and decides when to pull context from any of your connected devices. It uses all the software you already live in: Slack, Linear, GitHub, email, etc. Plus, threads are now durable — a real record of how work happened. Just drag them into a new chat to get context for your next task.

What if we built better software, not just more of it?

The Plan matters more than ever. Introducing /Plan mode on Magic Patterns: Simply prompt /Plan, answer clarifying questions, edit the markdown directly, and hit build when ready.

@unplanneddesign oh the red icons are actually "internal admin" only, so normal users don't see them, mainly for us testing things etc.

@Teddarific Two icons are the same, and only delete should be red - or are the others destructive?

@faydesignsstuff Agreed on accessibility + discoverability. Decided to experiment to see if we could save the click, but feels extremely weird since the UI 100% implies a dropdown is going to show up here

@Teddarific Not accessible/discoverable imo, a dropdown would work better and is the expected pattern and two of these icons are exactly the same 😅

@nickarceco Yeah i was very conflicted as well. I expect a popover menu and am surprised what happens, but i don't feel mad about what happens either

@Teddarific I’m conflicted because it goes against what I would expect the stacked dots to do which is open a popover menu

@marcxdlc it currently actually does both haha (aka if you click, it acts as a toggle, if you hover, it expands/collapses on its own)

@Teddarific if on click, good. if on hover, bad. the only issue is not fully mobile friendly, but if customers are power users they would know what the icon represents with no label. user testing might be needed, or at least track usage and allow feedback over time.

using Claude Code for long running tasks seems to have regressed lately: - Super slow (?) Am i getting throttled on an API key? - Permissions seem busted, very annoying when i get prompted in bypass-permissions mode

@Teddarific That’s a huge unlock Removing the plugin step makes the workflow way smoother. Curious how you’re handling fidelity and component mapping when importing into Figma?

Been chasing this feature for over a year — finally had a breakthrough with our internal AI agent: You can now just paste designs from Magic Patterns directly into Figma, no plugin or intermediary step needed!
