@lasercng @IkejaElectric I don't think this is right, I as a customer on Ijede 33KV for ages complained it has degenerated from around Dec 2025 and you still referred me to Ikeja Electric, instead of lndependently investigating my claim. That's why you are a regulator.

@IkejaElectric Ijede 33kv started experiencing power outage since Feb and it's getting worse every day. All what we preserved in our freezer have spoilt. On D overall, lives has not been easy due to hot weather and surge in fuel price. IE should find a lasting solutions. 😭😭

I sincerely thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for my ambassadorial posting. This is a man with a heart of gold, and as I have previously said, the President is a most Christlike individual, with the capacity to forgive and forbear. Nigeria could not have had a better leader for the present time and for the next five years, by the grace of God. I accept this appointment and posting to the glory of God and for the betterment of Nigeria, even as I pledge my unalloyed loyalty to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the custodian of the Constitution and the Head of State of Nigeria. I once again thank my foster parents, Esijolomi and Omerewumi, who moulded me, as a piece of clay they received from God, into what I am today. Other than God, NO OTHER HUMAN BEINGS have been more responsible for making me into what I am today than these two angels, who in my mother tongue are referred to as my Olayemi. I thank my biological parents, both of whom are now deceased, Bemigho and Ochuko, through whom I came into this world. Even in death, I love you both. I thank my wife, Hana, who has filled me with such peace of mind since I met her, and has been an encourager and nurturer. May God bless my friend who sticks closer than a brother, Malam Nuhu Ribadu. Although I have said this publicly before, let me repeat it today. This is not hyperbole to me. If it were possible for all the goodness on Earth to be domiciled in a single human being, that person would be Malam. He is blind to religion, region, communion and ethnicity—a credit to Nigeria and humanity. Through him, God made it possible for me to be a Presidential spokesman. And today, without saying much, what I have left unsaid says it all. It is most fitting that this posting to the United Mexican States comes as I begin the six-day climb to Mount Kilimanjaro to hoist Nigeria's flag on the summit of Africa's highest mountain. As I take each step, I am reminded of how God, in His infinite mercies, has used President Bola Tinubu to reposition Nigeria for greatness, such that in 2025, as recently revealed by both the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Nigeria, a country with just 2% of the world's population, was the sixth greatest contributor to global GDP. Nigeria is rising under the present administration, as demonstrated by the hosting of the largest single tourist event in Africa in 2025, Detty December, which attracted 1.2 million tourists to Nigeria in December 2025 alone, without a single death, robbery, or domestic incident. A sign that, though we may have localised challenges, Nigeria is a safe and secure destination for your holiday and investments, as well as a politically stable nation, and the only country in Africa where five former Presidents and Heads of State dwell in peace within the country with the incumbent President. I devote my life again and afresh to Nigeria to be faithful, loyal, and honest and to serve and market Nigeria to the best of my ability, so help me God. Ambassador Reno Omokri

JUST IN: Twelve northern governors, prominent traditional rulers, and senior judges are at the centre of a looming diplomatic storm as the United States Congress considers a bill that could impose far-reaching sanctions on them over alleged complicity in what American lawmakers describe as a “Christian genocide” and systemic persecution under Nigeria’s sharia and blasphemy laws.

CLARIFICATION ON VIRAL VIDEO OF YOUNG MEN ARRIVING LAGOS IN LARGE NUMBERS AT IBEJU-LEKKI The attention of the Lagos State Police Command has been drawn to a video circulating on social media showing a large number of young men who had reportedly just arrived in Lagos, seen gathered in front of the Dano Company premises in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State. Upon receipt of the information on May 14, 2025, officers from the Command immediately deployed to the location to ascertain the facts. Preliminary investigations revealed that the young men in question, eighty-nine (89) in number, had arrived from Katsina State and were recruited to work as labourers at the Dangote Refinery in Lekki. A contractor working with the refinery appeared before the police and confirmed that he had personally sourced and brought the labourers from Katsina for legitimate employment purposes. His statement was corroborated by the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the refinery, who also affirmed that the labourers were verified and cleared for entry into the facility and would be residing in the facility. The individuals were thoroughly searched, and no incriminating items were found in their possession. Furthermore, each person properly identified themselves and presented their National Identification Numbers (NINs), which were duly verified. The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, urges members of the public to remain calm and desist from spreading unverified or alarmist content that could create unnecessary tension or panic. He reiterates that the Command remains committed to maintaining law and order across Lagos State and will continue to respond promptly to all matters relating to public safety. In fact, I will not mind if Lagos State's name is officially changed from the Portuguese word Lagos to the Indigenous name, Eko. Whoever does not like the policy of prioritising Lukumi Yoruba language and culture over others in Lagos state-owned public schools should consider any of the other thirty-five states of the federation or the Federal Capital Territory. #TableShaker

I am humbled to announce that The Lord has blessed the Ngelale family once more with the arrival of our fifth child who was born on my mother's birthday following a most mercurial journey to health. The birth of my fourth son, Micah Esoi-Obari Ngelale, evokes profound gratitude and joyful praise to our Creator Whose mercy and lovingkindness is reaffirmed as endless and indescribable. Both mother and child emerged from the process in good health. On behalf of Crystal, Ajuri II, Elijah, Malachi, Zoelle, and Micah, I thank you for your prayers and incessant support. 🇳🇬
