One Way. Brooklyn, 2020. Wista 4x5 camera. Fujinon 150mm lens. Tri-X 320. This reminded me of the story of Jesus and the thieves. I forget how it ends, but I think they escape, open a Bed and Breakfast in Vermont, and everyone lives happily ever after. Yay! #4x5photography

1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Browns' stadium. Grown adults whining that they don't have a more comfortable shopping mall to watch football in is extremely ridiculous, embarrassing, and an affront to the history of football in Northeast Ohio. 2. Football is an outdoor sport. Teams that play it indoors are the exception not the rule, and this is mostly done in places that are inhospitable to human life, like the desert in Arizona or the swamp in Houston. 3. For competent franchises, being conditioned to winter weather provides a home-field advantage. The Chiefs just won the Super Bowl in part because the Dolphins had to come from Miami to play them in frigid temperatures in Arrowhead Stadium (which by the way is a lot older than the Browns Stadium). See also Lambeau, Foxboro, Buffalo, and every other team in the AFC North. For the Browns to throw this away would be absurd. 4. Northeast Ohio is the cradle of professional football, where football has always been played outdoors as intended. If the Browns become the only dome team in the AFC North not only are they guaranteed to revert to the laughingstock of the conference, it would be an affront to the history of the game and the region that the Browns are supposed to represent.
Jason Lloyd@ByJasonLloyd

The Browns are serious about a dome. But at a cost of $2+ billion, who is paying for it? Marijuana could be an option. Sports betting, too. And in Minnesota, legislatures involved charities to fund a dome with great success. The same idea might work here. theathletic.com/5276403/2024/0…

This is as important a day for the Dallas Cowboys as I can remember in 28 years, since early 1996.

so many 9/11 first responders who worked on the rock pile got cancer, just imagine what forcing 2 million people––half of them children––to wallow in this kind of debris and aerosolized building materials for weeks is going to inflict longterm

So, for the Wall Streeters who got rich on tar sands, logging, plastics, petro-dollars, etc. we had wildfire smoke here in California and here's how you should deal with it: Don't breathe in.

@SCClemons Yah maybe you shouldn’t be such a piece of shit to climate activists who interrupt you while you’re sucking the fossil fuel sectors dick next time. They obviously care a lot more about this planet than you do.

‘Influencers’ - stop filming, humiliating & degrading vulnerable people and passing it off as a ‘social experiment’ or a ‘random act of kindness’. It’s vile.
