Who established the screening recommendations for colon cancer? It’s an organization called the American Cancer Society National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable (ACS NCCRT), a national coalition of over 230 public, private, and voluntary organizations—along with patient advocates—founded in 1997 by the American Cancer Society and the CDC. This organization promotes, supports, and helps implement colon cancer screening guidelines. Think about this for a second: the CDC, which is partially funded by pharmaceutical companies, along with the American Cancer Society, which also receives funding from pharmaceutical companies, helped found the group that promotes recommendations for cancer screening. When you consider the fact that companies like Pfizer have oncology portfolios worth billions, the system starts to make more sense. A seemingly independent organization makes recommendations that align with the interests of its funders, while those recommendations are presented as purely beneficial to the public. They give you a recommendation, present it as live-saving, give you a diagnosis that may or may not be accurate, recommend cancer treatments and serve their donors. This is the medical system at work.

@GoodmanHoops I’m not sure where you’re getting your intel because what you said about GA Tech is not willing to fund their basketball program is wrong. They told the candidates that they’ll be funded competitively with other ACC members.

Georgia Tech obviously needs to devote more resources to basketball if they want to be a player in the ACC, and from what I am told, they are still not ready to do so.
Jeff Goodman@GoodmanHoops

Georgia Tech is expected to hire Troy head coach Scott Cross, source told @thefieldof68. Cross, 51, took over at Troy in 2019 and has taken the program to the NCAA Tournament each of the past two seasons. Cross has won at least 20 games each of the last five years. Georgia Tech associate athletic director Brent Jones was previously the AD at Troy. Cross was also the head coach at UT Arlington for 12 years - where he won 225 games.

Hmm... not sure anything is needed.... Just like "Covid". The symptoms are non specific and match up exactly with a Hangover/Comedown. Combined with when tested at least 50% of healthy young adults have this bacteria in them at all times anyway. It is hospital protocols that are the culprit.... as always.

My 72-year-old uncle and his doctor had a conversation about statins. He has always been healthy, fit, and active. A low BMI, good BP, he doesn't smoke or have diabetes. He eats beef, seafood, some vegetables, rice, potatoes, nuts, and some fruits. No sweets or processed foods. Doc: "Your cholesterol is high. I'd like you to start taking a statin. Uncle: "What part of my cholesterol is high?" Doc: "Your LDL." Uncle: "Why do I need a statin?" Doc: "Because high LDL will increase your risk of heart attack or stroke." Uncle: "But I'm healthy and active. What's my actual risk?" Doc: "High. If you take a statin, you'll have a lower risk and longer life expectancy." Uncle: "What are the side effects of a statin?" Doc: "Well, some people experience joint pain, muscle soreness, memory issues, elevated blood sugar, and digestive issues." Uncle: "So, it could increase my risk of diabetes?" Doc: "Yes." Uncle: "By how much?" Doc: "Up to about 35%." Uncle: "Isn't diabetes a big risk factor in developing cardiac issues and heart attacks?" Doc: "Yes. It's a major risk factor." Uncle: "By how much?" Doc: "People with diabetes have a 3x-4x higher chance of having a heart attack." Uncle: "So, how much would diabetes reduce my life expectancy?" Doc: "Up to 10 years." Uncle: "So, if I took a statin, how long would I need to take it?" Doc: "For the rest of your life." Uncle: "And what would my life expectancy be if I took it, and it didn't give me diabetes?" Doc: "There is a calculation I could do that tells me your risk and life expectancy." Uncle: "How does the calculation work?" Doc: "It looks at information like your BMI, BP, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and the fact that you don't smoke, you don't have diabetes, and if you're on any meds for hypertension or cholesterol." Uncle: "So, it doesn't just look at my LDL but my overall health too. What does it say my life expectancy would be if I took a statin and it didn't give me diabetes?" Doc: "You could live 1 extra day." Uncle: "Just 1 day? I would take a med for the rest of my life that could cause joint pain, muscle soreness, memory loss, digestive issues, up to 35% chance of developing diabetes which could put me at a 3x-4x higher risk of having a heart attack and taking up to 10 years off of my life, and I'd only get 1 extra day?" Doc: "Well, yes." Uncle: "Ya, I don't think I need the statin."

Esophageal cancer has a 90% five-year mortality. Its precursor — Barrett's esophagus — is often completely silent. No heartburn. No symptoms at all. In some patients, the symptoms actually disappear as the disease progresses because chronic acid exposure destroys the esophageal nerves. Here's what many physicians don't know: The fat surrounding your esophagus is visible on an MRI years before Barrett's develops. Which means a 6x increased risk of developing the disease. It's on scans that are already being ordered. No one is reading for it. No one is reporting it. ' I had Barrett's myself. Precancerous lesions. Scoped every three months, waiting for cancer. I reversed it by eliminating visceral fat. One of my clients did the same thing in four months. This biomarker needs to be on every radiology report.

This is unbridled EGO at its finest.... Please read the whole post..... 🛜This Private Equity guy wrote..... Went to the car dealership Saturday Wife wants a new SUV Salesman walked over and said "what are we looking for today?" I said "what's your margin on the Tahoe?" He laughed I said "I'm not joking. What's the invoice price versus the sticker and what holdback does the dealer get from GM?" He stopped laughing My wife said "we're just browsing" We were not just browsing I brought a spreadsheet Printed Color coded Blue for inputs Black for calculations I showed him the comparable transaction analysis I ran on every Tahoe sold within 50 miles in the last 90 days He said "sir this is a car dealership" I said "and these are the comps" He went to get his manager The manager came out Looked at my spreadsheet Looked at me Said "where do you work?" I said "private equity" He said "that explains it" My wife was already in the lobby pretending she didn't know me We got the Tahoe $4,200 below sticker She didn't thank me But the savings speak for themselves You are welcome 🚨🚨My reply I’m Uncle Jon. I’ve been a car dealer for 42 years, so let me translate the fantasy for you. Well Mr. PE, maybe you got $4,200 off sticker and strutted out of the dealership thinking you robbed the place. Reality check: the dealer still probably cleared $2,500 and was high-fiving the sales manager that another guy just took a $90,000 car off the floorplan. And here’s the part nobody tells you at the champagne moment… The second all four tires touched the street, your $94,000 “investment” (yes, $94,000 because you have taxes and lic/reg) was suddenly worth about $75,000. Come back in a year and ask Chevy what they’ll give you for your “steal of the century.” If you’re lucky… $55,000. That’s roughly a $40,000 haircut in 12 months. Imagine if you had put that money into an S&P index fund at 8% instead. Reality… priceless. @sweatystartup 100% made up 😂. Not a doctor on earth who would argue for zero blood work for an adult. In fact it’s the standard of care to check it at least yearly. More if monitoring for a specific disease

A while back I encouraged folks on twitter to get bloodwork 2x a year. A doctor friend of mine started arguing with me. "No need for this. If there are no symptoms, why look for problems?" I asked him when the last time he got bloodwork was. He said 7 years. These are the doctors who are arguing with you telling you you don't need to know your ApoB, fasting insulin, testosterone, etc. WAKE UP. Being a self respecting person with a family or business and not knowing your LDL, ApoB, Fasting Insulin, Testosterone, Cortisol, Vit D and others is negligent, reckless and inexcusable.
