@AMP86793444 I think Sarpanch was coined by @iSunilTaneja during his commentary stint. It is a very punjabi term that denotes authority/head of family. Our hockey captain is also referred by the same term . @PunjabKingsIPL is this correct?

The way Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has bowled in IPL, I find it surprising tha he hardly gets much mention. People are still concerned with Bumrah not taking a wicket! #RCBvDC #IPL2026

@Dravidict @CricketopiaCom Today’s winning runs from David Miller shows what he had in mind in the earlier match. I felt he just expressed himself to tell people that I can do it. And not sure why media made a big deal about it. 😁 #RCBvsDC #IPL2026

@Dravidict @CricketopiaCom The way David Miller was hitting the ball, he was right in backing himself to score the run. Yes, maybe a misjudgment but not blame him. I was actually surprised at Kuldeep’s inability to take a start from bowler’s end. He could have removed his pads and helmet. And made a dash.

Appreciate him and then accept he had a moment of misjudgement. It was 35 of 12 and it came down to 2 of 2 so you can't blame him. He wanted to finish the game, especially the way he was striking he was backing himself to go for the win and that's where the misjudgement comes from. Had the game been tied with a ball to go things may have been different and his knock would have become a clutch great. The difference between appreciate and blame comes down to that 1 run.
Cricketopia@CricketopiaCom

Would you blame Miller for the loss, or appreciate him for bringing the team so close to the target?

Thanks everyone for your answers. Rajat Bhatia holds the record for the most IPL wickets by a player who never played international cricket. IPL Quiz #17 He was part of an IPL winning squad and picked up a crucial wicket in the final of that season. After that IPL, he made his T20I debut for his country. He still holds the record for the best bowling figures on T20I debut by a player from his country. Who is he?
Vijay Anaparthi@VijayCricketFan

Thanks everyone for your answers. It was Duminy and Yuvi, both had 4-wicket hauls as captains. IPL Quiz #16 He has taken the most wickets in IPL history without playing a single match for his country in any format. He played in all of the first 10 IPL seasons. Who is he?

@AMP86793444 Stats on paper!!Many iconic memories never get memorialised for such reasons. For example, Jack Leach’s 17 ball 1 run to help Stokes win the test. Or @Hanumavihari unbeaten 161 ball 23 with @ashwinravi99 128 ball 39! But we will savour them always.

The thing about these relayed catches is that the man who made it possible never gets a mention on the scorecard. It’s not even his catch. Should they pair the names like they do for run outs? Like in this case: Hardik c Iyer/Bartlett b Jansen 14 Some credit or mention should be made of the initial fielder who put in all the hard work to make this a catch. But for his valiant effort this would never have been a catch. Thoughts?

@AbijitG It is like someone resigned and you didn’t retain. But new team is not upto expectations. But you can’t go back. Maybe the auction was flawed OR team combinations didn’t work out OR external factors forced out players OR other teams played better. Start the rebuild for next year!

Cricket needs a General Manager who has the biggest say in decision making, and that guy must not be the head coach. The head coach is fine for player improvement, technique and all those things. But a GM needs to be a tactical and analytical mind. Look at RCB, Mo Bobat is exactly the guy T20 teams need. They've Andy Flower like a Head coach and Bobat as a GM. #IPL2026 What are your thoughts? @swaris16 MI took a decision to build for the future by replacing Rohit. If you want to bring SKY as captain, isn’t that stop-gap? How long will SKY last (patchy form). MI needs an inspirational leader who generates respect. Can they repeat their 2013 thinking? That is the question!

@AMP86793444 MI don’t have a backup bowler to support him. Second issue, not bringing him early to make impact. Third, I don’t think he is bowling even 2 overs on a trot-rhythm. Overall, being used to stem runs. So not surprised on zero wickets but successful as defence bowler.

They keep talking about Bumrah not getting wickets but they don’t talk about how batsmen play Bumrah with low risk approach. Most of them are happy to see him off and take risks against others. Just an example from today. Bumrah bowled 4 dot balls in a row which meant that batsmen HAD to take some risks against other bowler the next over. They did. And lost a wicket. Although he is not getting wickets the impact he has on these games is immense.

Isn't it intriguing Jasprit Bumrah hasn't picked up a wicket in 4 matches ? Is it because he is trying too hard or trying too many variations and not sticking to basics ? He is too good a bowler to fail frequently. Perhaps today could be his day at the Wankhede stadium.

This is ridiculous. This is the 21st century, and lacs around the world come to India for medical opinion and procedures. Any scan could have been done in India, and sent to Australia, where their physios and docs could have examined it to their hearts content before pronouncing an opinion. To fly someone around 20,000 km both ways to do the same is absolutely ridiculous, unfair on him and the SRH franchise. And if there was any other reason to get him to travel, Cricket Australia, in the spirit of transparency, should let everyone know.
Cricbuzz@cricbuzz

🚨According to Cricket Australia, Pat Cummins has been given the all-clear to bowl, with fresh scans confirming his back stress issue is resolved. He will join SRH on Friday. #IPL2026

@CricketopiaCom Recent joke that I heard about coincidences that India losing to SA in 2011 helped India win 2011 WC. India repeated the same in 2026 WC, i.e. losing to SA in group matches. And that is how India won T20 WC.

“What is important is you don't play for the crowd, you play for your country. We should have batted the full fifty overs.” ~ MS Dhoni said this after India lost nine wickets for just 29 runs and were bowled out for 296 with eight balls remaining. India were in a strong position while Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir were at the crease. Dhoni remained unbeaten on 12, but India eventually lost the match by two wickets in the 50th over. Fall of Wickets 1-142 (Sehwag, 17.4 ov) 2-267 (Tendulkar, 39.4 ov) 3-268 (Gambhir, 40.1 ov) 4-268 (Pathan, 40.3 ov) 5-283 (Yuvraj, 42.6 ov) 6-286 (Kohli, 43.6 ov) 7-293 (Harbhajan, 46.5 ov) 8-294 (Zaheer, 47.4 ov) 9-296 (Nehra, 48.3 ov) 10-296 (Munaf, 48.4 ov)
