Today Dr. Anbang Ruan @anbangr has shared something quite interesting on Twitter about AE4E, the concept of Agent Enterprise for Enterprise within the framework of $NetX (arxiv.org/abs/2603.25100). What caught my attention is that he directly quotes an article (x.com/jack/article/2…) by Jack Dorsey @jack. Let's break down what Dr. Anbang is referring to: 1. The End of traditional structures (Overcoming human limitations) Both authors agree that current organizational models are obsolete because they are based on cognitive or structural limitations that AI can overcome. - Jack Dorsey: Argues that the modern corporate hierarchy is a legacy of the Roman army (groups of 8 to 80 people), designed purely as an information routing protocol due to the human limitation of only being able to effectively manage between 3 and 8 people. With AI, layers of middle management for routing information are no longer necessary. - Anbang Ruan: Identifies an equivalent limitation in current AI architecture: Logic Monopoly, where a single agent plans, executes, and evaluates. To overcome this and scale, he proposes a Social Contract for agents, creating institutional infrastructures that mimic the human Separation of Powers, but applied to autonomous ecosystems. Both seek to destroy bottlenecks: Dorsey eliminates the human middle-management bottleneck, and Ruan eliminates the omnipotent agent bottleneck through a decentralized institutional system. 2. AI as a System/Intelligence vs. AI as an Individual Tool A critique shared by both authors is the short-sighted view of current AI. - Jack Dorsey: Critically points out that most companies see AI only as a cost optimizer or a productivity enhancer (firing staff to improve short-term margins). He proposes that the company itself must be organized as an intelligence, not as a hierarchy. - Anbang Ruan: Argues that the solution to improving AI is not simply to create better-aligned individual models (the classic vision of copilots), but to build a macro environment: the AE4E (Agent Enterprise for Enterprise) paradigm. Here, AI does not assist the company; AI agents function as autonomous and identifiable business entities within a social system. 3. Information Flow and Governance Both texts propose new governance systems based on how information flows and decisions are made in this new era. - Jack Dorsey: Emphasizes that companies move fast or slow depending on information flow. By replacing human hierarchy with artificial intelligence (analyzing economic graphs in real-time), business understanding is composed every second automatically and quickly. - Anbang Ruan: Provides the technical and legal infrastructure for Dorsey's vision to be secure and scalable. He introduces Separation of Powers (SoP) as the main governance mechanism. For a company to function as an intelligence composed of multiple agents interacting quickly, an institutional framework (zero-knowledge proofs, smart contracts) must exist to regulate their interactions without requiring constant human supervision. 4. The Company as an Economic Graph and a Social Contract Finally, both conceive the corporate future as an interconnected and intelligent ecosystem. Dorsey describes the future of Block through the economic graph: financial behavior observed in real-time in every transaction, composing the system's knowledge perpetually. Anbang complements this idea by proposing that these types of systems operate under a social contract between agents. If Block is to be operated by non-human intelligences managing financial transactions, Anbang's SoP model (adjudication, cryptographic verification, regulatory compliance preserving privacy) is exactly the infrastructure necessary for those Enterprise Intelligences to operate reliably. Anbang Ruan's reference to Jack Dorsey makes perfect logical sense. While Dorsey posits the philosophy and the business necessity (replacing the 2,000-year-old human hierarchy with a unified and fast corporate intelligence), Anbang Ruan proposes the governance architecture and the technical framework (AE4E and Separation of Powers) necessary for those autonomous corporate intelligences to be able to operate, collaborate, and audit themselves securely in the real world.
