@tegholmes Seen from the east end of the prom at Old Colwyn east of Colwyn Bay. Fair walk from Colwyn Bay station but could be done.

Day 3 of 3 custom North Wales Tour superb views of 2 drake Surf Scoters - we could see their pale eyes! Hen Harrier, lots of Marsh Harriers, Peregrine, Merlin, masses Pink-footed Geese, 5 Barnacle Geese. And a very friendly Robin. #birding #birdwatching #birdtour #ukbirding

@miles_cluff Amazing! That Sooty is stunning! You hoping for Light-mantled out there as well?
English

@DanielBranch94 @orientbirdclub Interesting, thanks for replying! Glad you saw them even if it was brief
English

@tegholmes @orientbirdclub We saw the duck in Dihing Patkai National Park, but they were tricky to track down and we did not see them for long.
English

@DanielBranch94 @orientbirdclub Nice one. Always wanted to see an Ibisbill. Yeah, sounds like Elachura is tricky at the best of times. Will you be going for White-winged Duck at all?
English

@tegholmes @orientbirdclub Ibisbill we had 14 below Eaglenest and 3 at Namdapha
Elachura we didn’t have a sniff, although we knew that going in the autumn it would be a difficult bird

Well that was incredible - Paul McCartney in Manchester on Sunday. Even after 36 songs and 2 hours 45 mins, didn't want it to end. Legend! #PaulMcCartneyGotBack #macca

@IainHLeach @birdbrainuk Got to be one of my most wanted birds, such a unique colour! Brilliant photos!
English

@SamBayley2 What a great selection. That Golden Pipit is stunning!

Heading home after an amazing 2 1/2 weeks in Kenya 🇰🇪. 2 weeks #nguliaringing with @arochakenya in conjunction with @KWSKenya. An incredible 14,294 birds of 118 species! 13,324 were the target palearctic migrants dominated by Marsh Warblers, Whitethroat and Thrush Nightingale 1/4

@mickey_ratfink Nice! I think Orange-chinned is more common than Orange-fronted generally. Glad you’ve seen both!
English

@tegholmes Actually, yes I have!. Just checked the other picture from the start of the holiday!!
English

A few of the birds seen over the last 2 days.
Please see alt text for names.
Especially pleased with the mot mot but no pics of a white hawk as it was too quick!

@mickey_ratfink Definitely a Frigatebird, pretty sure they’re all Magnificent there
English

@wildlifegeekpix @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK @RSPBEngland Thanks, that’s really helpful! I will be walking from the train station but that looks like a good spot, I think I can get through to Weel Road from Beverley
English

@tegholmes @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK @RSPBEngland Hi Toby I would actually use the following viewpoint. Park your car, walk three metres and voila, you’re at the viewpoint. And you also then don’t disturb the wildfowl that congregate near the entrance

English

#swinemoor much quieter this morning, the Pink Feet flock size seems to have halved with the flocks size being around 5-7000. The Snow Geese are still present, but I’m sure they’ll be gone for good soon. #patchbirding @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK @RSPBEngland #eastyorksbirding

Not had much time to go birding recently but managed to get out to an inland Snow Bunting last week which was somewhat overshadowed by a local Scarlet Tanager! 2 hour wait with a huge crowd before it showed briefly but fairly well, only a poor record shot though @BirdGuides

English

@rossa599 @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK Very unlikely split I think Jack, I think the differences between subspecies are mostly quite weak if I remember right
English

Is Rough-legged Hawk a potential split in the future or not? Might save me a long trip to Cornwall if it isn’t 😅😅 #birding @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

Delighted to pick up this Rough-legged Buzzard just now at Trevear Farm Sennen, flown North. Team find with @MrJohnChapple @RAugarde. Proper Cornish mega! 💥💥
