Saw many a bird during our week on Lesvos, but the humble little Red-throated Pipit was one of our favourites. Good to get familiar with their call on the off-chance of bumping into one in the UK.

@tegholmes Seen from the east end of the prom at Old Colwyn east of Colwyn Bay. Fair walk from Colwyn Bay station but could be done.

Utterly mindblowing morning so far on Flock to Marion, I fear my tiny mind can’t handle all of this 🤯🤯 mega seabirds streaming past us at the moment, and it’s not even 10:00am yet!!!

@tegholmes @orientbirdclub We saw the duck in Dihing Patkai National Park, but they were tricky to track down and we did not see them for long.

With less than 60 individuals as a global population estimate, the White-bellied Heron owns the depressing title of the worlds rarest heron! It took us 3 days to track down an individual in Namdapha National Park in NE India, where it was distantly feeding in the river rapids!

@DanielBranch94 @orientbirdclub Nice one. Always wanted to see an Ibisbill. Yeah, sounds like Elachura is tricky at the best of times. Will you be going for White-winged Duck at all?

@tegholmes @orientbirdclub Ibisbill we had 14 below Eaglenest and 3 at Namdapha Elachura we didn’t have a sniff, although we knew that going in the autumn it would be a difficult bird

Well that was incredible - Paul McCartney in Manchester on Sunday. Even after 36 songs and 2 hours 45 mins, didn't want it to end. Legend! #PaulMcCartneyGotBack #macca

Passerine Afrotrops highlights were 3 Cut Throat Finch, a Sulphur-breasted Bush-Shrike, 3 Grey-headed Bush-Shrike, a single Golden Pipit and a huge White-necked Raven, that we put some concerted effort in to catch! 4/4

@mickey_ratfink Nice! I think Orange-chinned is more common than Orange-fronted generally. Glad you’ve seen both!

Too far away fir my binoculars, and at the zoom limits of my camera. Question for the birders of Twitter..what is it?? Don't think it's right for a tropicbird. It was quite big Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Not had much time to go birding recently but managed to get out to an inland Snow Bunting last week which was somewhat overshadowed by a local Scarlet Tanager! 2 hour wait with a huge crowd before it showed briefly but fairly well, only a poor record shot though @BirdGuides
