@JamieBrysonLLB @bbctheview Did you see Nolan last night? And I am not surprised no unionist is on defending massive murder of civil rights marchers. Are you??

.@bbctheview not content with the entirely imbalanced panel (3 nationalists against 1 veteran), Mark Carruthers allows Eastwood to continue to label Soldier F as a “murderer”. The BBC’s pro nationalist bias is shamelessly overt.

53 years ago, the British army shot dead innocent civilians in Derry. David Cameron, as Prime Minister, apologised for Bloody Sunday — yet shamefully, not one person has been prosecuted. Today’s not guilty verdict for Soldier F isn’t justice; it’s another betrayal of the victims and their families. I’ll always stand with the Bloody Sunday families until justice is delivered. @timmckane Political Unionism needs to engage otherwise Nationalists can't have a proper conversation with them

To my nationalist colleagues: your intentions are for there to be a UI yet so much of your argument for it is “it should be like this, the Brits, imperialism, Loyalist hatred, etc etc. it’s incumbent on you to make a UI work. Is this the way to do it? How are you planning to deal with your political opponents?

The Sunday Independent’s coverage is a textbook case of elite consensus formation - journalism operating as a mechanism of political boundary-setting, not democratic deliberation.

@dlLambo Reminds me of when The BBC just openly lied, cut people off and denied rights to respond during the Scottish referendum

A pyre of hate. The items burned on this bonfire are stolen throughout the year for that purpose. Young people fed a narrative by their political leaders that mass murder was justified & who grow up with such displays of hate are let down by those who should be setting an example

Union flags and poppy wreaths were among items burned on bonfires set ablaze in the Bogside and Creggan areas of Derry last night. 🎥 tinyurl.com/yjdwr3at
