Hungary is trying to be on good terms because it does not want war/conflict and it does need Russias energy for its country/economy to function. There is nothing wrong with putting your nation's interests first. Most of EU nations live far west and if a major war broke out, they would not be impacted like eastern nations such as Hungary

Steeds meer sleutelposities binnen de Nederlandse overheid worden ingevuld door mensen met een achtergrond in Defensie, de inlichtingenwereld of nationale veiligheidsdiensten.
Dit is een systeemrisico. Als dezelfde mensen zowel dreiging definiëren, beleid maken én communicatie sturen, kan er institutionele tunnelvisie ontstaan.
De vraag is: Is er nog voldoende institutionele tegenspraak tegen een steeds homogener denkraam binnen de top van de overheid?
