I've long contended (e.g. thevrara.com/podcast-posts/…) that for anything like a Metaverse to take shape we're missing a core component: the HTTP: the basic network transport. @LeirielVR This is how it works in @teleportvr. When the keyboard is invoked, the hand models point with the index finger and you do one-finger typing with both hands. It's a lot nicer than laser pointers. When we get round to implementing hand tracking, that may work even better.

This is really the key question, and one that @teleportvr has investigated deeply. They are different. And the #Metaverse needs a different network protocol, spatial and temporal. Let the Web be the Web.

So: @MetaQuestVR with native @OpenXR and @VulkanAPI - this doesn't seem to be done much but I do have good reason: @teleportvr. Managed to get the OXR state to FOCUSED, which takes over the Quest screen and allows input. But Vulkan refused to create a pipeline.. 1/4
