Wonder if I’ll be able to pull it off again next cycle. I think about this often, if I can do it again. Guess we’ll see.

Hype is just perpetually powered by insane buybacks from the best perps platform to ever exist + 1 billion retards who refuse to stop shorting the coin and end up getting lit on fire as propulsion for hype itself. It’s pretty fucking amazing tbh lol

Whole timeline is like “[insert one of three runners] is so hot! It needs to retest [insert price they wish they opened longs] for me to really believe the rally or bid” Just say you missed it bro it’s cool. Jump in the pool, waters warm.

@middaywake I think a lot of people will fade near x zec x hype as they are pumping, but if you look at how they held up even after btc dumped on war scaries… Pretty undeniable

Yup. Exactly. I think it’s good to optimize when you are running a business, etc. You kind of have to. But sometimes you just need some extra drinks with people you enjoy being around. Then you wake up next day and make it a great day regardless. I’d even say if three drinks “ruin your life” for days, you suck at life and “optimization”

Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

Had a good chat with @frankdegods this week and he got me thinking about the current state of onchain agents I've been following @0xDeployer and @ConejoCapital as they've paved the way for the onchain creation and funding of agents I believe that the next logical step is payments i.e. where and how agents transact across the internet Pay. sh was built under the belief that unencumbered resource access is an agents most important need and i'm genuinely excited to see how much better agentic UX becomes when payments is no longer a barrier This is going to start making a lot more sense over the next few months

@printgod_ @CryptoMikli These are people who just over analyze everything and look at literally a glass of wine as an A/B test lmao Terrible way to live imo, sometimes you just ruin the next day the have a lot of fun the night before. It balances out in the end.

Some thoughts about FIRE and retirement from work: Retirement sounds like an amazing dream when you're in a job you hate. But actually retiring could make things worse for you mentally. With no real pressure, nothing to solve, or no people needing you for anything, you have no reason to stay sharp anymore. A lot of this FIRE thinking, the “ retirement number,” the 3-4% withdrawal rates, all of it is built around the idea that life improves once you stop working, but for anyone with a bit of drive... If anything, stopping removes the thing that made your days feel meaningful in the first place. The irony is that people who are disiplined enough to pursue FIRE in the first place, are the ones who need it least (because they usually have high amounts of ambition and drive). People still ask what number is enough, when it makes sense to cash out and quit crypto forever, but I don’t really think there is a clean answer to that. If you stop playing entirely, you lose the part that made it engaging. By normal definitions I could probably say I’m retired, there’s no job, no fixed income, but that’s not how it feels from the inside. If anything, I just removed the parts I didn’t care about so I could spend more time on the parts I do, which is markets, thinking, writing, and doom scrolling Twitter, trying to get a little bit better at it over time. So it’s not about escaping work, it’s about ending up with work that doesn’t feel like something you need to escape from. In retrospect I pursued FIRE because I hadn't found something I loved doing. But when you actually love doing your job, why would you ever quit it? So instead of thinking about when to stop working, it probably makes more sense to figure out what you wouldn’t want to stop doing in the first place. Either quit the job you hate and do something you love, or save up enough to focus on something you are passionate about. Sipping drinks at a beach in Bahamas is not the answer, fellas. You need hard work.

Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date you’ve ever been on they’ve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own
