As the shortest kid in school, I was a target for bullies. At age eight, I befriended a kind teenager who looked out for me. Years later, I learned that the Klan murdered him and two others for registering Black voters in Mississippi. Their bodies were found 60 years ago today.

There are so many proposals to exit this crisis in #Haiti that I've lost count. The more appropriate question today is who doesn't have a proposal. But the question remains: where were all of these proposals the last decade because the crisis didn't just start.

@BrianLehrer the garbage cans are plastic, the lids are not put on, attracts rats, when it's bagged in yard you see the "presence of rats" -- super is not proactive, landlord is never present (i live right outside the door to the back with the garbage)
