We today are the world and the nature we created by integrating into the space around us. We are the forest, the fields, the sky above. At the same time, we are the servers, the computing power, and the electricity that feeds them, the signals traveling through the air into cloud storage and beyond, into space.
We are the technologies through which our “we” and our identity exist. The environment we create feeds again on electricity from wind turbines, solar panels, from photons arriving to us from space.
We are the digital world repeating the rhythms of nature. We are the forest and the stone, the raw materials and hydrocarbons dug from the earth, burned in furnaces, turning turbines and giving power so that processors can endlessly run bits and information, again and again representing us.
We are everywhere because we are connected to nature, to space, to the universe. We see ourselves both in the world around us and in the world created by humans — in technology, factories, microchips, the digital space and social networks where we continue to realize ourselves.
Even this digital world is inspired by nature and relies on its resources. Without the world around us there would be no us. Without the world around us there would be no technology.
We are the connection. Connection with the world and the universe.
