It's wild watching media folks who have consistently normalized infectious disease and platformed minimizers throughout the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic now expressing shock that vaccine rates have plummeted or that H5N1 is not being taken seriously. *You* helped to make this happen.

@Leif_Matttson @CBCNS So when we stop paying taxes we will stop asking government to be accountable for how they govern and the results they achieve with our money.

@Leif_Matttson @CBCNS Then why have a premier or government at all, keep the money and take care of ourselves right?

@termined_d @CBCNS It’s not the Premiers responsibility to make sure people don’t end up in tents, that’s their own responsibility

@Leif_Matttson @CBCNS Show me where I said the premier is responsible for people's rent. If you can't distinguish between People's obligation to pay rent if they want shelter and the supply of affordable rent so people don't end up in tents, then you offer nothing, I won't waste my time.

@CdnFacts @TheCjHPodcast @CBCNS No dice I said it was flawed before the votes were counted, because, it was flawed. Had Houston lost, it still would have been flawed. See how that works.

@termined_d @TheCjHPodcast @CBCNS It wasn't more difficult to vote. In fact, it was a lot easier. You could vote anytime you wanted to Monday to Friday at any returning station up until the Monday before the election

@farmer_east1989 @TheCjHPodcast @CBCNS LOL oh so the platform people chose was "With my majority I did squat for three years, made everything I promised to fix, worse, but hey vote for me again, in a snap election and I outlawed that practice BTW, I'll be sure to fix all that stuff now". Real rubes out there, agreed

@termined_d @TheCjHPodcast @CBCNS Ppl were tossing all kinds of cope out complaining that the Liberals lost because no one knew there was an election. That is ridiculous. They lost because ppl don't relate to their platform.

@Leif_Matttson @CBCNS Which things I mentioned are not under provincial jurisdiction and the responsibility of the Premier and his party? Oh that's right they all are his and his party's responsibility, lower the bar some more.

@termined_d @CBCNS You sure think the Premier is responsible for a lot of things. What does a super majority tell you about what Nova Scotians think of the viability of the NDP and Libs?

@CdnFacts @TheCjHPodcast @CBCNS I think you missed the point, not surprisingly. The point is why in this election only was it way more difficult to vote. Answer that, if you are able.

@Leif_Matttson @CBCNS Yeah next week everyone will have a family doctor and gas prices will be plummeting. Highways will get repaired, and we will see an increase in affordable rent and housing. I mean if he couldn't do squat in three years his viable ass is going to rocket now.

@nsbowler123 @tooshorttower @CBCNS So you cant get the info out, don't call snap elections just before projected postal strike, I mean unless you want to stifle the vote. If you have advance polls don't have them under capacity so it takes 30 and 40 minutes. Don't block off parking lots at polls.

@tooshorttower @CBCNS There wasn’t online or phone voting in every other provincial election. Voter cards would have helped but that wasn’t going to happen given the strike timelines. It’s not voter suppression as people had a month to get the info they needed and go vote (even easier at advance).

@nsbowler123 @Brent_Malloy @CBCNS Maybe don't call snap elections after putting in a law against calling snap elections. Maybe if you have a website and phones to provide voter info, answer the phones and make sure the website is up and working.

@Brent_Malloy @CBCNS Not really when you consider that they are normally sent about 1 week or so after the election call (which put it quite tight timing before when there was going to be the strike). More than likely they would have gotten stuck in mail. There were piles of other options to get info

@gerbina53 @CBCNS Exactly. When I finally got to election day, my polling station was an in session school with a blocked off parking lot. I thought that is not good for people with mobility issues. Every last thing about the way Houston ran this election screamed "We don't want you to vote"!

@CBCNS Of course they did! NS has the most disabled persons per province in Canada. Then there's the senior shut-ins. The online and phone in vote is imperative to this demographic yet was completely ignored.

@MikeNicholl3 @CBCNS Tried to vote twice in advance left both times, saw others leaving after looking at filled to capacity cramped tiny location. I know those who did wait and it was a 40 minute wait. Voted on election day after navigating a blocked off parking lot, just screams don't vote.

@CBCNS Seems that was the plan, why we couldn’t vote on line eliminated a large group of voters, I voted early at a returning office took 30 mins, no names on the ballots just parties, and they were stunned the whole bunch of them, if I can’t vote online, I won’t vote at all in future!

@nsbowler123 @ackwhacker @CBCNS That tidbit of info would have appeared on a voter info card. Tried twice to vote in advance and unlike any other election the poll was cramped overfilled place and about a min 40 minute wait, I left so did others. Voted election day, parking lot was blocked off, another first.

@ackwhacker @CBCNS That’s a common misconception which they had major communications efforts out there to correct- you don’t need a voter information card to vote. At advance polls, you could vote at any polling station in the province.

@CBCNS …inappropriate representations of fact is damaging, psychological warfare& repeatedly telling voters that a particular party is going to win weeks before the election &then for over a week prior to election, claiming that he’s gonna win a super majority& it’s election manipulation

@powerman1954 @CBCNS Actually when people tried to access the site provided by the government to provide the info you are referring to, it was not working. Not everyone even has a computer, that is why voter info has always been mailed out. Levels the playing field, keeps it fair.

@CBCNS The election was called, everyone had a month to figure out who they wanted to vote for, one goggle search would tell you where you vote. The NDP and Liberals didn’t get the word out to their members or their members didn’t care. Sour grapes people
