@woye1 Of course, this is very OK for the average, regular Nigerians, who constite the overwhelming majority of our country's population, for them this is OK until the elite get involved, then they'll fabricate "outrage" with their usual long-winded idealistic analysis and condemnation.

@channelstv The logic that poverty is the sole cause of insecurity is deeply flawed. A complex web of factors drive insecurity, including hoisting a centralised law enforcement architecture on a federal system which should have multi-level policing as Tinubu is authorising now.

@Akin_Agunbiade @TheGridPost Projections are just that, projections. To be credible however, they must rely on realistic metrics over time. Nigeria's birthrate has been steadily decreasing, so, what better or superior metrics than this is/are driving this projection(s)?

@TheGridPost I can't answer the question, but most projections point in that direction Around 2000, we were around 100 million. In 20 years, we've doubled. Another doubling in the next 20 years is not far fetched. Generally, all of Africa is doubling in population in the next 20 years

@woye1 @AShammeh Absolutely correct. It's better to be motivated by our best hopes than allow our worst fears to dictate a policy of paralysis on this matter. Effective policing is always local not national. National police should be a layer of moderation and review of local gaps.

State Police: 1: Before State Police: Nigerian Police can’t police Nigeria effectively since Govs can’t give orders to CP. 2: On-going Police: Why the rush? Some Govs will abuse the system. 3: So what do you want? Speaking from two sides of mouth. Same people has been shouting insecurity. 4: Govt and National Assembly will proceed with the state police.

@General_Somto That is not Arabic but Ajami or Ajamu, an ancient Hausa writing. It simply means "Victory is from God." By the way, the sums on some of our currency notes are rendered in Hausa, Ibo and Yoruba, so, following your logic, would you like to question that also?

@Onsogbu Some citizens, like the ones in this clip, are insatiable, always ranting and whining about Nigeria, government(s), leaders and politicians. Nigeria was not founded to pacify your insatiable and often irrational expectations. What have you done for Nigeria yourself, ehn?

Nigeria's financial transfers are speedy and impressive, kudos to the CBN/commercial and allied financial institutions that make this happen. I am however, perplexed by the absence of NFC card functionality in our financial sector. Why is this so? @cenbank

That's a fair question, and one many community members have asked. After six years, it's natural to want a clearer understanding of what's been built, what's still in development, and what milestones remain ahead. The community has invested significant time and patience, so the desire for more transparency is understandable. Ultimately, people won't judge the project by promises, they'll judge it by what is delivered.

@BeeNetworkInfo Thank you. That's exactly my sense of the repetitive mystical throwing around of the term. The meaning, reality, value and respect for it lies not in its repetition but in focusing on those things and processes that give it bite and cloth it with actual meaning and appreciation.

@ternaagor Words like “ecosystem” can start to lose meaning if they aren’t backed by clear, visible utility and measurable progress. Ultimately, it’s the real world use cases and adoption that give any “ecosystem” substance, not repetition of the term.

Community expectations are valid, and clear communication is important in any long term project. At the same time, migration and TGE timelines depend on readiness, compliance, and ecosystem development. The best path forward is transparent, official updates as milestones are confirmed.
Riazuddinkhilji@Riazuddinkhilj5

@BeeNetworkInfo First you must inform when migration and TGE. Don't play with the emotions of community. Community is in frustration.

@NationalGridNg In 2000, on a tour of Germany, we saw this set up. Rural farmers produced electricity for their farms using windmills and sold the excess they generated to the national power grid. I hope it works here as well with the solar set up as with the windmills in Germany.

The Grid Post@TheGridPost·
BIG CHANGE: YOU CAN NOW OFFICIALLY GENERATE ELECTRICITY FOR YOURSELF, USE WHAT YOU NEED, AND SELL EXCESS ELECTRICITY BACK TO THE GRID THROUGH YOUR DISCO The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has commenced the Net Billing Regulations 2026, a new framework that allows eligible electricity users to generate power mainly through solar energy for their own use and export excess electricity back to the distribution network. In simple terms, if your solar system generates more electricity than you consume, you can now send the extra power back to your DisCo and receive credits under a regulated billing arrangement. This effectively creates what the sector calls a “Prosumer” ;meaning you are both a consumer and producer of electricity. However, there are conditions. This is not yet targeted at the average small residential solar setup. To qualify: -You must already be connected to a DisCo network. -Your renewable energy system must have a minimum installed capacity of 50kWp and a maximum of 1.5MWp -You must obtain approval from your DisCo. -You must sign a Net Billing Agreement and register with NERC. Approved users will receive bidirectional meters that track: ➡️Electricity imported from the grid ⬅️Electricity exported back to the grid

@BeeNetworkInfo Lots of cryptos out there, and all that you do daily, tirelessly, is gaslight people caught up in your "no hurry in life" network development to convince them that this is the sweetest thing since ice cream was discovered, even as there's no evidence to support such an idea.
