Dealing with Trump is a precarious thing. Remember that he has been impeached twice already. The Senate choosing to ignore his impeachable offenses has only emboldened him to act in illegal and unconstitutional ways, knowing the Republicans will let him get away with anything. Likewise, the 25th Amendment is unlikely to give relief. It must be initiated by the vice president and half of the cabinet. Do you actually think this squad of sycophants would act against Trump, no matter what he does? The best answer that I see is to turn Congress blue. The Trump administration have acknowledged that they fear that result as well. Even if that happens, I would hope the Democrats will refrain from wasting their time and new found power by NOT trying to impeach Trump. The country would much better be served undoing the insanity and chaos that this administration has wrought.

As it stands, there are 4 teams,that while not perfect, are head and shoulders above everyone else. Dodgers, Yankees, Atlanta, and San Diego. Everyone else is mediocre or worse. Therefore I am not worried about the early sputtering Detroit has gone through. My biggest concern actually isn’t in Detroit at all but the lack of any substantial pitching in Toledo. Who will provide quality relief of starters when needed in Detroit?

Since it was an amateur hour attempt, i doubt it was staged. Staged or not, I am sure the administration hopes people forget about a war he promised never to start, raising prices he promised to bring down, his blatant attempt to cover up the Epstein files, and a rash of ill conceived and often illegal moves that he has gotten away with because this congress has the backbone of a jellyfish.

I like the ABS system, but it needs to stop being a weird game within a game. When you do challenge, not challenging early in the game to save your challenges,having the challengers only be the batter, catcher, and pitcher. This negates the point of the system which is to bring accuracy to the plate calls. I trust that umpires are making the best calls they can, so they should have real time access to the ABS themselves and with every pitch.
