Today I picked up 550 Galil AR | Green Apple (Minimal Wear) skins at $0.10 each. Whenever I can catch them around this price, I keep buying consistently. My target is $1 per skin. A lot of people are probably wondering where I get the balance to keep investing in CS2 items. Here’s how I do it: When one of my older investments reaches a profit level I’m happy with, I usually sell 80% of my position and keep the remaining 20% for the chance of much bigger gains in the future. From the money I get by selling that 80%: I reinvest half into new CS2 opportunities. I cash out the other half to pay for travel or things I actually need. (I’ll admit… a big chunk of it also went to my ex-girlfriend. 😅💔) Besides CS2, I also invest in the Turkish stock market. One of the ways I build my CS2 budget is through IPO stocks. In Türkiye, newly listed stocks have daily price limits, which I personally find more comfortable from a risk-management perspective. If an IPO hits the daily upper limit for five consecutive trading days, that’s roughly a 50% gain, and I often take profits there. Using this approach, at 24 years old—and before even starting my career as a doctor—I’ve managed to own both a house and a car. For anyone wondering, I use Midas for Turkish stocks. I also genuinely like the Green Apple skin. Not everyone has a big budget in CS2, especially younger players, so there are plenty of people who build affordable inventories. There are even lots of videos showcasing budget loadouts, and this is a skin I could easily see myself using. That’s one of the main reasons I’m investing in it, especially from this collection. Like you mentioned, the fact that it’s eligible for Trade-Up Contracts and comes from the Train 2025 Collection is another reason I’m buying it. You’re right that it won’t be easy for the supply to disappear from the market overnight. But I’ve held onto RMR 2020 items for 5–6 years before making a profit, and I’m still holding my Paris 2023 investments. I have no problem being patient with these as well. CS2 has a real, long-term economy, and that’s what gives me confidence in this investment. You’re also right about float values. The only issue is that, as far as I know, the Steam Market still doesn’t let you choose a float when placing buy orders in these quantities, so it’s not really practical for this kind of strategy.

honest question first — you actually like how this skin looks, or is it pure trade-up / supply math? long-term the bet can be real. two problems though: 1) at these prices (1$) exit is already ugly on stuff people only buy for craft. collections like that don’t clear size clean. 2) this one doesn’t have a full float cap. so for craft, float purity will matter a lot — not every $0.10 MW is the same input. as a play-invest it’s not bad tho. looks clean, and it might get real demand even outside the contract.

Thanks for your comment! The reason I’m not buying these from third-party marketplaces is that it’s very difficult to place buy orders for 500–1,000 items at once. I’d have to either buy them one by one or manually accept hundreds of trade offers. That’s why I use the Steam Market instead. When I buy on Steam, I first purchase cases from third-party sites, sell those cases on the Steam Market, and then use the Steam Wallet balance to buy these skins. I’m not expecting them to hit $1 anytime soon. This is a long-term investment for me. There are probably well over a million of them in circulation right now, but that number can only go down, not up. As more items are locked away in inventories or disappear through trades, and as new players keep buying them from the market, the supply will gradually shrink. Since this skin belongs to a collection that has already been removed from the game, I believe it will naturally become more valuable over time. That’s why I’ll keep accumulating as long as panic selling continues.

@tevspavets bro, theres 1 million plus factory new and 1.25 million minimal wear i dont think they will hit $1 any time soon also, u bought them on steam, and paid $ 0.1 if u had bought them on youpin u would pay $0.05

Outside of the Steam Market, it’s not easy to buy in bulk, especially when dealing with low-priced skins like these. Honestly, I don’t have many other options. As the price increases, though, I gradually switch to buying from third-party marketplaces where I can usually get them at a better price.

@RedMagician6 I believe the Minimal Wear version has more upside than Factory New. As the price goes up, demand naturally drops, and this is still a great, affordable playskin for everyday players. I can definitely see the MW version settling around the $1 range over time.

It’s only been a short while since the trade contracts became active. We’re taking advantage of the panic selling to buy at low prices, then we’ll gradually reduce our inventory over time. After all, the supply won’t increase anymore every item we buy just makes the remaining supply even smaller.

@Schm4ndi That’s exactly what storage accounts are for, my friend. As for the €1,800 limit, you can always use the proceeds to buy higher value items like knives or gloves. There’s a solution to everything as long as this actually happens.

@KranPla58320 Don’t forget, that collection was removed early by Valve because it wasn’t generating much revenue. It had a brief hype-driven price increase, but it wasn’t a particularly popular collection. I think Train 2025 is a much more well-liked collection.
