The conversation has definitely shifted. All these All Blacks supporter accounts now only seem to talk about which of their favourite players is better than their South African counterparts. No chat about overall dominance anymore, just player vs player. They know the bigger argument is already lost. We’re firmly in their heads.

Almost every week I receive emails from New Zealanders asking why some government agencies are still using te reo ahead of English. The English-first policy is not one of ACT’s coalition commitments, but I decided to look into it.
In fact, the Government’s main public-facing webpage, govt.nz, still uses ‘Te Kāwanatanga o Aotearoa’ ahead of ‘New Zealand Government’. This is the Public Service Commission’s official branding for the Government.
The Public Service Commission sets guidelines for branding across government, so it’s no wonder many agencies are lagging.

Chris Hipkins can’t be trusted to run the economy and ease the cost of living. The COVID-19 Inquiry found that Kiwis are still paying the price of his decisions during the pandemic. The Royal Commission found: • Around half of Hipkins’ $60b COVID spend-up had nothing to do with the pandemic • The spend-up fuelled inflation, meaning higher mortgages, and prices of everyday items • Hipkins kept Auckland locked down longer than required, ignoring health advice, putting pressure on businesses and families • Health advice was ignored that the two-dose vaccine mandates should not apply to teenagers due to health risks • Hipkins left the country with far less flexibility to respond to future crises National has spent the past two years rebuilding the economy to help Kiwis get ahead. The last thing NZ needs is a Labour-Greens-Te Pāti Māori government who wants to tax, spend and borrow more, taking us backwards.
