@TexansCap growing up in clear lake there was nothing to do until main event and later top golf showed up. so kirby ice house building a location there is kinda wild
English

@TexansCap my parents moved out to sugar land before i could legally go there but that's like the original clear lake (webster, really) watering hole. they're supposed to have good burgers
English

@sammj_17 blew my mind when i saw how chhetri stacks up in terms of goals in international apps
English

@texanskoolaid After recent qualifying cycles and current state of ISL (which almost got cancelled), I'm not hopeful. And now Chhetri is done. They can get lucky and make an Asian Cup run but they're behind in so many ways rn 😔
Btw just came across this jaded thread lol reddit.com/r/IndianFootba…

Does FIFA think we all have infinite PTO days for this?!?

Everyone is crying about a 64 team World Cup. This doesn’t look that bad to me. Top two go into the round of 32. What’s the problem?

One of my favorite players that I’ve studied so far this summer. Still needs to clean up the technique, but has elite tools and athleticism.

@TheCoreyBarrett Week 1, the Texans have Josh facing a 3rd and 13 and come out in their 5-0 front isolating one guy on the edge to one side and three guys on the opposite of the line. Who ya got them trotting out there? Fun situational hypothetical
English

@BrandonThornNFL @BigDuke50 Brandon, was this something Coach Scarnecchia mentioned in a clinic of his you attended? or, where would you recommend seeking out his teaching online?
English

I agree that ‘pad level’ gets thrown around too loosely. I look at it as “Up and down” leverage being important with pad level being a synonym of that.
I typically go back to Scarnecchia’s teaching of there being 3 types of leverage as the best definition: up and down (pad level), left & right (hands) and positional leverage (relationship between the defender and ball).
English

Low man doesn’t always win.
Pad level itself isn’t as important as you think.
Don’t need to keep a post foot or post into the LOS.
Dropping your ass lower isn’t gaining leverage.
Rolling hips & getting extension in the run game isn’t optimal.
Hopping immediately against a bullrush isn’t always a good response.

@texanskoolaid no i agree. and sometimes a new clubhouse can be a hard reset so i hope he finds that in milwaukee. they obviously do something right with their pitching lab. i think it’s best for him and the team to part ways now. no love lost i hope.
English

@TexansCap the simple explanation i always heard is, it's usually bad teams that spend more so that's why it doesn't always correlate to wins. like if you have a bad secondary you might pay a premium to get a cb1 to even get average play there, but at best it doesn't translate to wins
English

Does spending more cash equal more wins for an NFL Team? Been a bit since I've posted this data.
The correlation is pretty low overall. NFL: spending is a lever, not the lever. Roster construction, QB health/performance, coaching, schedule, and/or injury luck can really affect the output.
Cash spend can buy depth, retain stars, smooth out weak position groups, and help a team avoid bottoming out, but it can’t fully buy quarterback availability or quarterback quality.
The 5-year window had the highest correlation. 2-year, 3-year, 5-year, and 10-year visuals here:
