Fellow Texans and all Christians, it’s time to shine a light on a disturbing pattern of silencing faithful voices that's affecting our friends, families, and neighbors right here in Texas under Lt. Gov. @DanPatrick
Last May (2025), as a concerned Texan and Orthodox Christian, I emailed his office about the exclusion of traditional Orthodox voices in U.S. religious liberty talks, the ongoing persecution of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and the clear favoritism toward the EP.
His team received it, assigned it to staff, but closed it the same day with ZERO response, leaving my concerns, shared by many in our Orthodox communities, completely ignored. Now, in 2026, I have his internal correspondence report confirming this.
Why dismiss faithful Texans like this on critical faith issues? Our friends, families, and neighbors deserve equal representation, not silence.
And it's not just Orthodox folks being sidelined. Recently, he expelled @CarriePrejean1, a devout Catholic, from Trump's Religious Liberty Commission, which he chairs.
She was removed for daring to question Zionist influences during an antisemitism hearing, standing her ground against Zionism while defending free speech. He called it "hijacking" and claimed it was his decision alone to remove her.
This isn't isolated. It’s a pattern that's hurting Christians across the board. Whether it's Orthodox families facing exclusion, Catholic neighbors being ejected for speaking out, or Protestant friends wondering if their voices will be next, our Lt. Gov. is treating the people we care about with disregard when they don't align perfectly with certain agendas.
In Texas, where faith runs deep in our communities, this erodes the religious liberty we all hold dear.
As an 8th-generation Texan on one side, 3rd-generation Slavic diaspora on the other, a mom, and a believer, I'm disappointed and calling for change.
Let's discuss this openly and demand better for all our Christian brothers and sisters, their families, and our shared Texas values.
