2nd Amendment for Compute. Now.
Daniel Jeffries@Dan_Jeffries1

This proposal is beyond insane. It's evil. There is no other way to describe it. This guy is talking about an international compute police regime. Chip registries. Memory thresholds. Financial surveillance. Whistleblower programs. “Challenge inspections.” Monitoring clusters because someone, somewhere, might train a model without permission. All because distributed training makes their favorite fantasy harder: a tiny cartel of governments and labs controlling who gets intelligence. This is not “AI safety.” This is the drug war for GPUs. This is the Crypto Wars rebooted with slightly better branding and more deranged thinking. The same people who spent years insisting they were just worried about “responsible development” are now openly sketching the architecture for global compute authoritarian control with jack boots checking your home GPU is just being used to play Witcher 4 but never training a model or you go to jail. And the funniest part is that they still think they’re the good guys. They see ordinary people getting access to powerful tools and their first instinct is not “how do we make this abundant, safe, and useful?” It is: how do we register it, monitor it, inspect it, cap it, and shut it down? That is not liberal democracy. That is not American. That is priest-class authoritarianism calling itself governance. The future of intelligence should not belong to a handful of terrified bureaucrats, doom cultists, and incumbent labs who discovered that “safety” is the perfect word for regulatory capture and who want enshrine a new East India Company as the blessed choice or who want to "shut it all down" because they spent too much time huffing glue while reading Dune and watching Terminator and thought it was real. Open models. Open research. Open compute. Freedom first. The people trying to turn GPUs into controlled substances should be laughed out of the room before they build the Ministry of Compute. You can come get my GPUs from my cold dead hands, mofo!

Democrats claimed rural Ohio Republicans were too racist to back Vivek for governor. But Ramaswamy won 82.5% of the primary vote and every county. Their delusion will end up biting them. Ohioans care about issues over identity politics. Here's my op-ed in today's Dispatch:

Opinion: Republicans aren't racist. Ramaswamy’s big win proof Democrats are delusional | Opinion dispatch.com/story/opinion/…

15% of all Medicaid homecare spending in the state of Ohio goes to providers in a tiny four mile radius in Columbus. Homecare companies in Franklin County (which is home to 11.5% of the state population) account for 38% of state spending on homecare. Seems legit.

🚨 Why is Ohio STILL fighting to pass a bill that protects land near military bases and critical infrastructure from foreign adversaries? 🚨 Ohio HB 1 — the Ohio Property Protection Act — had to be REINTRODUCED this General Assembly… and it still doesn’t have the support it should. Meanwhile, the concerns are real. The same Chinese company that sparked national security alarms with its proposed project near Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota also attempted to purchase land just north of HD 84. This is exactly why HB 1 matters. The bill would prohibit certain foreign governments, companies, and individuals tied to foreign adversaries from purchasing protected property near Ohio military installations and critical infrastructure. -This should not be partisan. -This should not be controversial. -This is about protecting Ohio. Ohio families deserve to know that the land surrounding military bases, power grids, water systems, and critical infrastructure is protected from foreign adversarial influence — BEFORE there’s a crisis, not after. How many warning signs do we need before this issue is taken this seriously? @A1Policy @DrTerryAJohnson @SecRollins @SecWar @RoyKlopOH @SenMullin

The Navy recently canceled restoration of the USS Boise, an attack submarine, citing “scarce shipyard labor.” This didn't happen overnight. Washington has ignored America's skilled workers for decades. Now it's a national security crisis. My new op-ed in @TheHill on fixing it🧵

You've heard about this story. Now you get to see it. I traveled to Columbus, Ohio, and witnessed the most egregious government waste I've seen in my 20 years as an investigative reporter. This has been going on for years, and you've been paying for it. Take a look⬇️

Andrew King is the best candidate in a very strong Republican field for Ohio Supreme Court. He is incredibly hardworking, extremely accessible, and has the conviction and experience we want to see in a Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. Vote King.
Judge Andrew King@akingohio

Let's put the best Republican on the Supreme Court. I am a constitutional conservative, a judge, and a former prosecutor. I will always be faithful to my oath, the constitution, and the law. On May 5th, vote King for the Supreme Court.
