@ernestdove @rcandy24 I agree- especially when you factor in the Yankees success & the continued reputation of “LOL Mets” The organization needs guys that wear it when we lose. More than any other organization- this team and it’s fanbase needs players who look like they can’t stand losing

Today the #Mets reportedly acquired RHPs Freddy Peralta ($26.0M surplus trade value) and Tobias Myers ($7.5M) from the #Brewers in exchange for RHP Brandon Sproat ($23.8M) and SS Jett Williams ($20.9M). The deal is accepted by our model as a moderate overpay by New York.

@BMiggy Nimmo’s lack of playing in HS & league play was on display his whole career. It’s why he could never steal bases. His baseball instincts were horrible, his baseball IQ was terrible. You can tell that he didn’t have the baseball “reps” that everyone else has.

I cannot stress enough how bad Nimmo was. I started making a compilation video of his September play in LF and had to stop because I was only 14 games in and had over five minutes of content already. Nimmo was horrific in the field in September.

1. I think this will all be dictated by the market. I don’t think Stearns wants to give him more than 4 years. All it takes is one team (Boston?) to offer him a 5-6 year deal. 2. If Detroit seriously shops him the Mets will be one of the most serious bidders. 3. Senga traded.

A team will be willing to give you quality in order to fill their rotation with a guy who’s been an All star & who had the lowest ERA in MLB until he got hurt last year! He would arguably be a top 10 FA pitcher this yr

@realnyteams @Ben_Yoel What kind of offer do you think they’ll get for a SP who hasn’t pitched consistently for 2 years due to injury? At 15 million it’s better to keep him and roll the dice you end up solidifying the back end of your rotation with him.

They didn’t need an additional huge competitive advantage. This isn’t hard.

What players are you saying no to in a trade for Skubal @PSLToFlushing , I have to say no to McLean,Sproat,Tong and Benge, all other prospects are on the table for me, I feel those 3 SP and Benge as a future OF cornerstone for years to come
