Couple of positives for the Celtics from Game 7: -Neemias Queta played really well, aside from a couple of bad fouls. He should be a big part of whatever the center rotation is next season. -Hugo Gonzalez had a huge impact, despite not scoring. Future is very bright for him.

Still trying to gather my thoughts. Not sure I’ve ever felt so many emotions at once. Seriously just don’t even know what to say about everything. Gonna miss watching this team and will remember that regular season for a long time. A fun journey with such a distasteful ending.

@Boston_Diehards We should have AT LEAST another 2-4 weeks of watching basketball. Only time we’ve been eliminated this early in the Jaylen/Jayson era is when JB was hurt and missed the playoffs.

@NElGHT_ Somewhat excited for the summer, I do think we’re having a contending team next season, but for a week or so, the disappointment will be big. I knew they had deficits all along, but I loved the thought of an underdog run through that narrow path via great role player performances

@giomadeit Center depth was needed if we wanted to make a run, we were overall a bunch of pieces short of actually contending. There was a narrow path which I was really hoping for, but I‘m also not shattered now. Saw some great developments since October and I‘m faithful we will improve…

@th4great I think Brad saw a chance this year, it’s just unfortunate the first round got hit with an MVP who we had nobody for. I will always trust Brad, it’s gonna be interesting.

This Celtics team could've made the Finals, but I don't think they would've beaten OKC. Maybe not even San Antonio tbh. A first-round exit is never good, but it's much easier to move on from when you're not a true contender.

Gap year Celtics were too flawed for playoff basketball. Pressure is on to build a contending roster around the Jays for 2026-27. No more gap year excuse with Tatum having a full offseason to get healthy.
