A bunch of companies are laying off employees because of economic hardship especially in Kenya and lying to you it's AI. How much was your AI spend? What roles did you replace? Has any of these companies published any sort paper doing 1 vs 1 between an employee and AI?

AI is expensive AF but what people don't realize is that its also effective , it does work full time not just work days it'll work on weekends and holidays , no leave days , no taxes, NHIF , SHA, health insurance etc i have lost half of my colleagues last month

The same safaricom that tried to disrupt ecom with Masoko? How is that going? The tried cloud, but every Kenyan business is on AWS or Azure or other providers Don't get me started on business ops because Zoho and Odoo are having a field day in the Kenyan market.

Microsoft and Safaricom are taking over the SaaS market. The other day Safaricom was launching a School Management System. A whole Safaricom. This adds another reason for me to continue being serious with my Plumbing course.

Worked with such people. Always talk about building something great but cannot describe it. When you ask them, they tell you "figure it out". How do I figure out something you cannot describe? So you now waste lots of time creating and them rejecting till you get tired and quit

There is almost zero drive and creativity to build something world class . Working at Spairally means you get a clean canvas , and Da Vinci away . I can’t speak much of the art . But I end up having to paint over the sketches .

Niliquit 9-5 ilikuwa inanilipa 150k/month. Imenitake two years for my company kunilipa 67k/month na nafanya kazi from 7AM to 11PM every day, na sometimes unapata uko na employees wanakupea the hardest time ever, na kuwafuta kazi ni even more expensive. Every month uko na bills za kulipa in the millions, end month kila mtu ako happy isipokuwa wewe juu uko na another 30 days kuraise another million. Na imagine all this trouble ndiyo net salary yako ikuwe 50k Sometimes doh haitoshi unasema wacha ulipe the employees alafu KRA utawatumia yao by 9th, unajaribu kupata loan bank inakataa juu hauna shamba ya security, inafika 15th unapata weird calls, unashika unapata ni KRA, unawaambia utawalipa next Friday, wanakuambia Friday haiwezekani, labda Thursday. Inabidi uongee with one of your clients akulipe mapema, anakusomea akikuambia biz haifanywi hivo but anaitikia eventually. Next week inafika unalipa KRA, SHA,NSSF, Housing Levy. Unahave some peace kidogo only to realize that next week ni end month na this time uko na deficit kubwa kushinda last month, and the cycle continues. Kama uko 9-5 na uko sawa, I can’t advise you to quit. Heri ujaribu entrepreneurship in parallel but usiquit job yako. It feels good when you tell people that you quit your job to pursue your dream but you also need to understand that your dream will take time before it starts paying the bills, and it might also die before you eat a shilling from it.

Kuna Life 9-5 will never give you hata uchape kazi miaka ngapi. Utakua unaonea Social Media na kwa TV ukisema watu wanaosha pesa huku nje but in real sense watu wanajituma. Be ambitious enough to also live a life that hata ukifika 40 na udedi atleast you lived a life.

People freaking out over my AI spend. What nobody sees: Part of what excites me so much about working on OpenClaw is that I'm trying to answer the question: How would we build software in the future if tokens don't matter? We constant run ~100 codex in the cloud, reviewing every PR, every issue. If a fix on main lands, @clawsweeper will eventually find that 6 month old issue and close it with an exact reference. We run codex on every commit to review for security issues (as it's far too easy to miss). We run codex to de-duplicate issues and find clusters and send reports for the most pressing issues. We have agents that can recreate complex setups, spin up ephemeral crabbox.sh machines, log into e.g. Telegram, make a video and post before/after fix on the PR. There's codex that watch new issues and - if it fits our documented vision well, automatically create a PR of it. (that then another codex reviews) We have codex running that scans comments for spam and blocks people. We have codex instances running that verify performance benchmarks and report regressions into Discord. We have agents that listen on our meetings and proactively start work, e.g. create PRs when we discuss new features while we discuss them. We build clawpatch.ai to split all our projects into functional units to review and find bugs and regresssions. We do the same split for security with Vercel's deepsec and Codex Security to find regressions and vulnerabilities. All that automation allows us to run this project extremely lean.

Former WPP-Scangroup CEO Bharat Thakrar and other minority shareholders with a combined 13.59% stake are seeking the removal of the firm’s board, citing a 62% share price decline since Feb 2021, KES 3.1B in aggregate trading losses, KES 1.9B cash erosion, four consecutive profit warnings, halted dividends, and major client exits including KCB, Equity, NCBA, and Airtel Africa. The shareholders want a special general meeting by June 8 to remove the current board led by Richard Omwela, while also flagging FY 2025 weakness: revenue -16.3% to KES 2.04B, gross profit -27.0% to KES 1.47B, loss before tax worsening 41% to KES 714M, and cash falling to KES 864M from KES 2.14B.
